Our team is here :

We are currently in the Top 10 teams but we need more CPUs on it to maintain the rage.

You need an invitation code to be able to create an account...

Its on the project's home page but you might have overlooked it:

The invitation code for creating new accounts is pillepalle

SRBase has revised its badge levels to PrimeGrid standard (http://srbase.myfirewall.org/sr5/forum_thread.php?id=120&postid=652#652)

The number of active projects (with decent WUs) has dwindled to the lowest point in years, it seems.

Hey Team I need a little help on SRBase. Trying to get the team into world 5th currently 25,000 points away. Today we are out-producing the 5th team BlackOps but they have some very powerful members including Ste\/e, aka poorboy. This project strongly favours Intel CPUs with AVX so modern i5s and i7s and Xeon class CPUs do best.

Commander Vaughan!

Long time no see. I was wondering what battles were you fighting in. :)
All I can offer is a Phenom II X6, an FX-8370, and an Opteron 2360 SE, all not ideal for this project, but for you and the Team I'm diverting all my cores towards SRBase effective immediately!
I've just been having fun with the challenges at boincstats but now we have a real Team objective here.

Let's go AMD USERS!!!:new_2gunsfiring_v1:

Mission accomplished.

Thanks NeoGen.

Go AMD Users!

At current rate we can even shoot for #4, looks like BOINC@Poland has a low RAC compared to us, and they're less than 300,000 points away only.
Plus we need to gain some distance from the BlackOps before we can ease the pedal there... They might push it once they see we just passed them.

Shall we go for Bonus objective: World #4? :)

SETI.USA are a bit away from us yet... might take some time to catch up with them.
But we should build up at least a little bit of space between us and Boinc@Poland and BlackOps... just to be on the safe side.

Two down, two to go too

Three down, one to go! It's just the Sierpinski shorts:

And SETI.USA seems busy somewhere else:

It took a bit of effort but we got passed BlackOps, next is BOINC Confederation. The short tasks take about 13 seconds and score 0.4 points so that equals 110 points an hour. Pretty generous for a CPU project.

I'm switching projects when I get #2 rank.

Heads up we are about 5 days away from taking World 3rd position from Seti-Germany on SRBase. I could use a little assistance even if its just a day or so please.

We sure could use some more team members on SRBase (http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=team&proj=srb&team=34)

The invitation code for creating new accounts is pillepalle, and it still works as I've seen jason1478963 getting his first credits!

Yup, I just couldn't find where to enter pillepalle when trying to attach via Boinctasks. Not the most user friendly project to attach to. :eusa_wall:

We seem to have awoken the sleeping German giant....and to top it off: the BOINC Confederation is after us, and will catch us in some 22 days :(

Heads-up we are about 2-300k behind SG again but they are slightly out-producing us today. I have switched most of my machines to it but could do with some help from other members of AMD Users. Remember to use the access code mentioned in posts above.

Avoid the Long tasks as they take too long! to crunch and are not worth it in points (cobblestones). The best value are the smallest tasks as seen in the Server Status page. Unfortunately Rebirther allows the subprojects to run dry so you have to either watch the project closely and be ready to adjust your preferences to chase subprojects that have available work or, set project preferences to allow multiple sub projects. If a subproject runs dry and you haven't allowed alternative subprojects when Rebirther refills the particular subproject with work again I have found that this particular project doesn't automatically look for any new work. You have to manually click update to get new work. This is VERY annoying. I have set SRBase to 999 in Resource Share but this doesn't fix this bug. Other projects are much better at looking for work regularly and resuming when tasks become available. I have set BOINC Manager to reserve 0.1 day's work.

Another bug (undocumented feature) with the Long tasks is that despite what Rebirther says they do not resume (no checkpointing) if you have to restart the computer (yes Windows I'm looking at you). I have lost many days of CPU time when Windows updates and reboots the computers.

I put everything I have on this project as of this writing. I know we could use more help but three of us are churning and burning each day. I like this project but I don't know why, maybe its because you personally for your effort have a real solid chance at reaching a prime number.

Are there any other major crunchers who could help with this Project and keep us ahead of the competition? :blob3:

The Gridcoin folk are getting too close for comfort in SRBase.
When I get back from the States (I'm in San Diego at the moment) I'll have to switch a few more machines back to it.
Unfortunately since the demise of LogMeIn Ignition I have lost the ability to remote control my pharm.

You'd better ask your son to build an extra Ryzen 7 1700 system, perhaps a Threadripper 1920 even. Pity those EPYCs are so hard to find yet...
SRBase is very much a (x86/x86-64) CPU project, GPUs won't help here, nor a 2nd hand Sparc Solaris system.
