ESP Mega Prime!
On 6 January 2015, 11:24:47 UTC, PrimeGrid’s Extended Sierpinski Problem Prime Search found the Mega Prime:161041*2^7107964+1 (http://primes.utm.edu/primes/page.php?id=119068)The prime is 2,139,716 digits long and enters Chris Caldwell's The Largest Known Primes Database (http://primes.utm.edu/primes) ranked 23rd overall. It eliminates k=161401; 11 k's remain in the Extended Sierpinski Problem.The discovery was made by Martin Vanc (vmv (http://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=105821)) of the Czech Republic using an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4440 CPU @ 3.10GHz with 4GB RAM running Microsoft Windows 7. This computer took about 18 hours 9 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR. Martin is a member of the Czech National Team (http://www.primegrid.com/team_display.php?teamid=46).The prime was verified on 7 January 2015, 00:34:44 UTC, by Stefan Hofacker (shofacker (http://www.primegrid.com/show_user.php?userid=129528)) of Germany using an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz with 32GB RAM running Microsoft Windows 7 Professional. This computer took about 22 hours and 19 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR.
