Happy Australia Day to all our Australian members!! :qgreenjumpers:

Australia Day is the official national day of Australia. Celebrated annually on 26 January, it marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British Ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales, and raising of the Flag of Great Britain at that site by Governor Arthur Phillip.

Thanks mate :)
We had a rip-snorter.
It was stinking hot, humid (and completely normal) with a few afternoon storms belting through the paddocks.
The steaks, salads and curried prawns kept us busy during the cricket which got cancelled due to the wet.
So a few cold tinnies were hunted down, captured and consumed which added to the 'colour' of the commentary long after the game was gone ;)

Hate to see your lobsters...must be the size of sheep!
Dutch-size shrimps:

You can hold all these in the palm of your hand and they won't fall off...
1950ies or so photograph of Dutch women peeling shrimps:

You don't see them anymore like that..

Lobsters are about normal. Except for this one. Would have taken some boiling.

I bet there's a sign somewhere there -17 Princes Highway, Kingston SE, South Australia 5275, Australia- that says 'Home of the Lobster'....

If I was a chef I would be scared to try and cook that lobster... I think the lobster would pick me up and put me in the boiling pot instead! :icon_lol:
