ON the Message Boards the post is here: http://qcn.caltech.edu/sensor/forum_thread.php?id=1260#5986

According to the Project Administrator if he isn't going to get paid for the project then he isn't going to give credits out either. Many are frustrated and leaving the project, and I don't think they will be back either! :sad5:

What a fool. I agree with Chris' suggestion the project admin should ask Bitcoin Utopia to run a campaign for his project and he gets new hardware and maybe some dollars for his precious time he believes he's wasted on "his" project.

I noticed no points awarded since July is that right?

Everybody over to Quake Catcher Network (Taiwan) and La Red de Atrapa Sismos then, they still hand out credit there

Vaughan I have had some credits to this site with in the last 2 weeks but that is it. Since then nothing but other QCN projects are crediting my account. This new Admin is an idiot. What about asking David Anderson for some admin scolding? Not sure that would correct anything but this guy irritates me to no end!

He's not new, he's with QCN since 2008. He just has way too many hats:

Project Administrator
Project Developper
Project Tester
Project Scientist
and Chief Software Architect...

And it won't even run from an out-of-the-box BOINC client for a RasPi, and the amount of help from the forum is staggering.

As of July 1, 2017, no new points are handed out for any project affiliated with QCN. I have removed all affiliated projects as they too have removed points for doing work. Yes they are handing out work units but with no points it is not worth utilizing my computer for this project.

And so a project slowly dies of neglect, probably will go offline suddenly some day when the web hosting fee is not paid. I'm surprised 2 years later still some people are running it, at least the server status page still shows tasks in progress.

You can tell a person doesn't like what he/she is doing when they put a dollar value on it (and try to charge it), I would love to develop and run a project on my spare time. :) (but alas, I don't have one, and little ability or ideas to create one)

Oh, but he may have left a present on his way out... no new work? (http://quakecatcher.net/sensor/server_status.php) (Tasks ready to send = 0)

Is there anybody from the team that has credits for QCN and that wants to ask their admin to add the possibility for sensor detection to include the I2C path on the Raspberry application?
This will hopefully lead to detection of the accelerometer on my Raspberry Sense Hat. Presently the QCN application only scans for USB. As I do not have credits on the QCN project I can't post on their forum anymore.
