To all my DC-friends

In D20L we have on time been number 16 in the rank. Now Phoenix Rising has caught us. MysteryByte is coming with storm step. Will we sit and see when we are degrading to nr 18?

Please, you who have the opportunity, take your artillery and bombs to keep our rank.
I guess many members have this project among their favourites.

I myself am running this project on both my computers but, it is too little help when MysteryByte produce 1117 WU’s / 24 hour and I myself ca 150. :!:

I tank all who will help!

Hallo!

Here we can see how Intel and AMD’s power and speed have been developed under a tree year period running D2OL.

AMD Users need 1.107 days and 434 nodes to run 628.683 candidates.
MysteryByte need 293 days and 344 nodes to run 618.581 candidates.
Phoenix Risings need 140 days and 206 nodes to run 645.503 Candidates.

AMD Users have 90 more nodes than MysteryByte and 294 more than Phoenix Risings.

I think it took long time to crunch 100 candidates 3 year ago. My AMD64 have done 118 work units/24 hours today. If we add 118 x 434 nodes, we should do 51.212 candidates per day. Who will say no to this great, great results?

My (3 year) Athlon™ 1001 MHz, 640 MB RAM have done 45 candidates / 24 hours. This computer got a huge WU: Sars VI, 58 atoms, 13 Rotatable bounds (This should my AMD64 have got). Every step takes 18-19 min. 6.10 hours run for one work units! I suppose my 64 would run it on 2.5 hours. Have another who has run D2OL now and earlier got so huge work units before?

Since you need help, I'll go back to D2OL. I'll run it as long as we need but I'll take a break because my BOINC WU's are getting close to deadline.

EDIT: Dspy, that was what I was looking for. Thanks for reminding me vaughan. :)

I'll help you Lagu.

To answer your query, occasionally you encounter very large units like the one you describe. Conversely, you can get tiny units like a 16 / 1. These get crunched so fast you can easily miss them. The big units are on your screen for more time so grater chance you will see them. Check your DSpy log and you'll see the size of the work units crunched.

Beerknurd

Here in Sweden the last sending was 12.10 - 12.20 after midnight. Open the agent, click on "status". Look above. "In next schedule update" can you se when the server will try to upload. Your results is in your node and the server will auto distribute your resultats in 24 hours. Have you works done after 12.00 midnight, it adds to next day.
Hope you understand me. If not ask again.
Use you DSPY? It is good to have if you will have your works logged.

yea I use dspy... I just found out if you click here (http://localhost) you can look at your dspy screen online.

I never knew that. Of course you have to have web access checked. You can right click the icon and choose it.

I just like it because I have all 3 of my computers networked. I can monitor all 4 of my clients through DSPY. And with it online you can see all the clients at once... I just thought it was pretty cool.

Yeah, it's useful if you have a network. I just only have my computer for projects so I have to switch between projects. :(

Yeah, I know. I'm 13 (almost 14). I found out SETI@Home 1st while watching The Screen Savers 2 years ago on TechTV. Thats how I started with the projects. Unfortunately my parents doesn't really like me doing these projects (Got in trobule for participating in Grub).

The other 2 nodes in D2OL were from me when I 1st started and resumed after uninstalling to do BOINC.

My wife gets upset too when I "waste out" our 20GB/month d/l limit doing DC'ing. I figure I pay for it so I may as well use it to the max!
I wish it was unlimited downloads as Optus said it was when I signed up. Oh well, useless regulatory authorities have allowed them to wimp out of the contract. "Not worth the electrons it was printed on".

I too want an X2 ASAP. I'm saving for it now.

Hallo D2OL friends

I have watch Free-DC’s 2D0L tread and found that a member of Free-DC warns for xtremeSystems as they will overtake their third place in the ranking list. They produce over 40 k and today I notice they have done 16.900 candidates. Free-DC has done 1.139.
I also notice em99010pepe have created a sub team to Free-DC in D20L but, when he needed assistance to crunch D2OL, no one was interested so he says the project was dead. Instead, he should create a new sub team in SOB. Its funny he say for join AMD_Team they must have at least one AMD processor as we also say to them as will join us. Regarding to our own situations how long are you thinking we will run D2OL? I think, if we will keep our rank, we will run it as long MysteryByte is running this whit their power. It seems to me not possible as many have other project to run. Shall we have a datum when we all stop running it and let the progress have its own course, or will we run it from time to time? Will we be of the opinion D2Ol is “dead” in our eyes?

What is your opinion?

To all members who have joined AMD Users

In D2OL we have our own team since many years back. Many members have contributed to our team, and have been doing a very thankfully and great results under a long period. This project have been one favourite among other project. We will keep it going and it’s a high time for it now:

Our nearest concurrent MysteryByte is not long ahead from us and they are sending large results every day, more than AMD Users is doing. I’m one of them as is running this project right now. If we not we will go to defence, we lose our 17th place and will be nr 18 in a few days.

To you, who have one computer to dedicate to D2OL, please come to our help. We need to do at least 1,300 conformers a day. I myself am running this project with all my power. Yesterday we did 351 conformers.

I and Vaughan (group leader) and many other will highly appreciate all your help. [-o<

Have you questions? Ask the forums or me.

Can you explain why D2OL is working and sometimes not. I can’t understand that :? I’m running this project on 2 computers and I have not notice that phenomenon. Simultaneously I’m running Dimes and another project. Are you running project as can affect D2OL?

i have it installed twice on this machine, so i could queue up 4,000 rather than than the usual 2,000.
When i run it on the other machine i run the "run anywhere" file on that from this machine. So really it is two lots on this machine but actually being processed elsewhere.
It appears to be some sort of network issue.

Hello!

A new concurrent have sailed up as a real threats. The Digital Darkroom is coming with storm step and have already stomped the Ninjas in D2OL. They started in the mount of May as a few others and they have a high daily rate. We old crunchers can’t no longer swim silent in our own swimming pool. Nowadays we must crawl for life ower the wide sea. The project we for many years have seen as our own is in the Columbus era and many will discover the crunching world. When we began, our power was far from today. We is a small team, other is big and can take a great bite of the cake needless to say

Lagu.

any of you guys read the concerns regarding this project? from what i've seen they are legitimate, as even the project heads have "acknowledged" this to some degree.
