We've finally got the BOINC account deletion feature installed and enabled. Account deletion cannot be undone. You'll also need your password and a valid email address for identity verification.

You can access it from your account settings on the web site.

I think this must be regarding the GDPR privacy regulations in Europe, all websites will now have to treat user data very carefully to avoid mishaps that may result in heavy fines, and that includes all Boinc projects as well.
I'm actually surprised an account deletion option wasn't available yet. I never really tried to delete my account, but I figured that would have been an option a long time ago.

But that creates havoc with the stats, account deletion. Besides, from some mishaps at FreeDC I've understood that the next project that stops will disappear completely from the stats, taking all (scores, badges, etc.) with it...
