no new boinc client version in almost 1 year?

Hey guys

Does anyone think it's odd that there's been no new revisions to the BOINC client software in almost a year? The last downloadable build of BOINC is v7.14.2 and is dated from October 2018.
I'm pretty sure we have not achieved perfection status on it, if nothing else the Virtualbox included is pretty outdated by now, so anyone has an idea of what's been going on? Is there a different client software in the works that will supersede BOINC itself?

That is not to say that development doesn't continue, there is a boinc-client 7.16.1 (https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=13066#92433)

Interesting... so they slowed down their fast paced release cycles, hopefully that means the best of quality for future versions!
Now if only I knew how to download the source code and build my own executables and stuff... :icon_rolleyes:
