Oktoberfest Challenge!
From September 21st, 2019 Primegrid will be running an AP27 (http://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=7022) Challenge to celebrate Oktoberfest! The world's biggest Volkfest is held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, with more than six million people from around the world attending. The Challenge starts at 11:00 UTC and ends 5 days later on 26th September at 11:00 UTC. Work units from the AP27 project, which are downloaded and completed during the challenge will count towards your challenge score. The last AP26 was found on 17th November 2018. Oh wow.. I haven't been paying attention but even I have a handful of results in there from my test machine. I didn't set it for that one subproject, it's actually picking up anything GPU related available from PrimeGrid.

I think I can improve 1 spot to take outright 3rd by the finishing time.

I had a delayed start as I was interstate at the start time, then a UPS covering a switch for the Linux side of the room was misbehaving so it got replaced. Finally got most of the computers running but still a few recalcitrants won't start up properly. Need to plug a monitor in to see what is wrong.

A pretty good result all round for us I think, 10 finishers in the individuals table, team ended up at 9th, and fun watching Vaughan sneak up the individauls chart to position 3 after giving everyone else a head start! Also I found 6 new APs (or rather my computer did), nice bonus. :)

Near the end I was gaining on tng* at 150,000 per hour but I ran out of time. Still I had a great 5 day holiday in Hobart, Tasmania with my family.
