Special caution regarding the upcoming Heptadecagenarian challenge
In a few days, PrimeGrid will be running its first challenge of the 2022 season. In one important way, this challenge is different than any other challenge we've ever run before. While the challenge is for both GFN-17-Low and GFN-17-MEGA, the main purpose of this challenge is to finish off the GFN-17-Low sub-project. This means that we will almost certainly run out of tasks for GFN-17-Low during the challenge. It's even possible GFN-17-Low will run out of tasks before the challenge even starts. For this reason, it's important that participants also select GFN-17-MEGA, otherwise there is a significant risk that computers will run out of tasks during the challenge. The challenge starts on January 17th, at 17:17:00 UTC, and will run for three days, ending on January 20th at 17:16:59.The forum thread for the challenge is located here (https://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=9832).

Yay we started crunching today! 6 AMD users contributing to the effort.

Nine by now, and despite my 104,078 credits for GFN-17 on the 17th (they were all too old to count) I am not amongst them. But I'll soon be the 10th to join.

Edit: I may have even been the 11th, as sentient_life has also joined to make the total number of members eleven. As team we are at #6 now, with two members even in the top-10: MiHost and Vaughan.

Yay! MiHost has joined me and we are both inside the Top 10 now. Great effort.

It looks like I am out of too old WU's, I have progressed from #11 to #9 within the team standings, or more generally: from from somewhere beyond #400 to the lower 300's.
Predictions are we will be out of GFN-17 Low tomorrow (http://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=9832#153385), but I still have plenty...

Vaughan passed the 10 million credits on this challenge and is now firmly within the top-10 at #8, MiHost may have found #1, Skillz, a too though nut to crack and remains at #2.
As a team we are still at #6 because the teams before us applied their turbo once the GFN-17 Low were gone.
