Message@Home project explained

What is it?
Message@Home is a new distributed computing project, in Alpha stage at the moment, that aims to test the PerlBoinc (http://sourceforge.net/projects/perlboinc/) system. An open source development of the Boinc system, ported to Perl, for the use of those more at ease with this language.
To fully test a boinc system, one has to put it to work, and that was the idea of the project administrator. By creating a fairly simple application to brute force an MD5 encoded message, they could open up their boinc system to the masses and put their project, PerlBoinc, under the harshest of tests, the real world test.

Where is it?
The project website can be found here (http://message.boincstats.com/). Notice the similarity of the website with normal boinc projects. Practically everything is already ported to Perl, especially the boinc scheduler, that after several weeks of trial and error, it has now evolved and running very stable.

How can I participate?
You can create an account to participate in our team here (http://message.boincstats.com/orig/create_account_form.php?teamid=14).
Notice: Right now, the project has account pre-registration open, which means that you can apply for an account, but it may take some time until you get the confirmation email back. The fully open account creation is expected to start yet before september.

Conclusion
As a test project that it is, it is always fun to participate in. The forums are very lively and people ask questions and make suggestions all the time, to which the project administrator patiently answers each and every one individually.
After the MD5 cracking project, the administrator is planning to change the project to compete in the RSA Factoring challenges. (More info about the RSA challenges here (http://www.rsasecurity.com/rsalabs/node.asp?id=2092))
