Thanks, I'll try to put one on it. I have never done this one, but I'll give it a whirl as soon as I can. (In a slight battle now)

Just lost a P4 2.53 GHz. It locked up probably due to overheating. Now it won't POST - just a black screen. Tried replacing monitor and GPU card - didn't fix it. Oh well, off to the PC shop on Monday.

THE PC SHOP??
NEWEGG !!!
NEWEGG !!!!!
NEWEGG !!!!!!!!

Does it beep at all?
I thought Pentium CPU's were supposed to throttle back when overheating to keep from frying.
Anyways, if it beeps for you look here, these are error codes.

There are a ton of site related to this, these are a couple.

Although it could be worse, it could have been a AMD that went.... 8O

My local PC guy www.powerlynk.com.au fixed it for free. When I was cleaning the dust off the CPU and the fan I loosened the fan bracket housing. This caused the CPU to lift out of its socket - hence dead computer. When he plugged it back in correctly it worked first go. Phew! :D

I know, this makes me happy that we can get together like this. We are really hauling ass. This is a great team effort. Let's keep it up.

Whenever RSA640 starts up, we should have a team effort there in the beginning. That way we won't be so far behind liek we were last time.

We might have lost jarmo but we have gained several new team members. A warm welcome to AngelsLoser, Daveh and kupo. Also a somewhat belated but nevertheless just as warm welcome to BoostedIntegra.
From the stats pages JLanger it looks as if you have indeed put your farm to work on "17 or Bust", or should I say "11 or Bust", after the announcement that Randy at ExtremeDC found the 6th Prime.

It isnt without its drawbacks though, I got the little woman ragging me about the electric bill lately, lol. But they do help keep the basement warm :).I'll have to move some to Lifemapper soon, to help hold off madcat and the gang.

Yep, I will have to put a couple on TSC, but I'll keep them all on here until 12/28.

there is newer clients but they aren't ideal. I am using sb121-linux and it's faster but doesn't send so I am just using 1.2.1 for the crunching and turned off sending intermedate block then send with 1.0.1 like I said not the ideal way to do things but speeds thing up some.
