Join the AMD Users team in Boinc Imaging of Seismic data (BIoS) Project here:

With correct link, thanks neoGen :!:
I got the original link from their site

That link doesn't work... :(

But I registered on the site and joined the team through it.
One thing though... doesn't let me attach on boinc yet, says the key is invalid.

Here's the correct link:

their BOINC home page is
http://gf45.mp.tudelft.nl/psdm/

which is not how they published as
http://gf45.mp.tudelft.nl/
which will give you an Apache default page
at the moment, anyway: 2005-11-10

Ahh the newbies.
Gotta love'em.

...a poorly written piece on application of Alberta split spread on fourier transform...but you get the picture...literaly ;)
http://sepwww.stanford.edu/sep/jon/eage99.pdf#search='Split%20Spread%20Fourier'

now that you have the visual difference, here is something topical that uses the difference to great effect with a much greater depth in the 3rd dimension
http://enviro.nfesc.navy.mil/ps/3d/srsatt1.htm

here is a paper that explains the "dual" split in greater detail
http://www-crewes.geo.ucalgary.ca/Conference-abstracts/2001/Mi_SEG_2001a.pdf#search='Split%20Spread%20Fourier'
...enough to push the layperson (me) into headache territory on a work-night
However, if you peruse the later paragraphs of the paper you will see how it applies to this project directly.

As an observer I am surprised that the theory has taken so long (since 2001) to come to be applied. We shall see more of this, perhaps even re-analysing some old project data with greater effect. It would not surprise me in the least.

(can you imagine the crunch power required to re-analyse all SETI data with an additional dimension ??? We definitely need more cores !!! )

Bob, are you on any other projects besides Shoft and Rosetta?

PoorBoy

My Total BOINC World Ranking is 99.899% not counting the Shoft Credits I have. But that Ranking isn't as bob ... ;)

I just got goofy and put down bob from Belarus at the Shoft Site & now it's carried over to the Rosetta Site ...

Don't know what that percentage means, but the number sure sounds good :)

I had asked because I was wondering how did someone with such a farm there could just have started DC'ing on Shoft and Rosetta only... I had a feeling you had to be at someplace else more too... :P

And I hope "bob" carries over to some more projects on our team ;) hehe

Don't know what that percentage means, but the number sure sounds good :)

It just means that I have more Total BOINC Credit than 99.899% of everybody else in the World running the BOINC Projects ...

PoorBoy

My % figure has moved to 99.927% & I'm Ranked 211 in the World for Total BOINC Credit. ...

I take these Rankings with a grain of salt though because 1 day I'll be 211 like today and tomorrow I may be 290, they jump around a lot it seems & I wonder where these Stats Site get their figures from anyway ...

Ummm... I hope this is just a mix-up, or I'll move BIOS to the unknown status in my list. :-(

And bob, how'd did you find out about your total credit percentage thing?

And bob, how'd did you find out about your total credit percentage thing?

You can just go over to the BOINC Synergy Site & join the Forum. You don't have to join any of their Teams. Then fill in the required signature info for all the Projects you run.

Then as long as you visit the Site every 30 days the info they have on you will be updated. But like I said you have to take your ranking with a grain of salt.

I was just over there and my credits for Einstein and Pirates isn't even included in my ranking. Thats over 125,000 Credits thats omitted between the 2 Projects. Don't know why they don't include them ... :?

NeoGen

Bob, you were on Pirates??

That was my all-time favorite project! :)

My guess is that you must have done more credits than me on it... but, on the other hand, only 4 people achieved more than me there. (I finished 5th worldwide on Pirates@Home)
So... If my previous guess is correct, I should be very close to finding out who you are (or were?) :P

just one question tough... am I on the right track here?

 ... Your very HOT now ... ;) ... There were (Clue ) 1841 Users that finished behind me at the Pirates Site, but I used a different User Name there also other than bob or my usual User Name so you still wouldn't know for sure ...

Ah... so since according to boinc synergy's stats there were 1844 participants, I presume you were Steve Dundes, who finished 3rd at Pirates@Home :)
I was betting on Steve Dundes or Peg Leg as both had the number of hosts hidden... :P

Is BIoS dead already? None of the links work. :-(
