No, I'm not talking about boinc projects.
I'm talking about key counters and mouse trackers.

I had nothing better to do, so I decided to test the stability of those projects when running together. Right now I'm running WhatPulse (http://whatpulse.org/), Marmot (http://marmot.gruk.org/), BeWeS (http://bmt.bewes.be/) and an oldie that isn't even in our team's stats, Project Dolphin (http://www.project-dolphin.nl/).
I'm not running TKC (http://keycount.piqsoftware.com/) too because they don't send me the password! :? I registered yesterday and am still waiting.

For now they all seem to be coping with eachothers peacefully. Apart from some rare moments that the mouse has some difficulties moving, I got nothing bad to report. And even those rare mouse difficulties disappear instantly if I press Escape.
I still have to make a real test by playing some games... ;)

We should think about adding Marmot and Project Dolphin to the stats. :) (Ototero, is it possible to squeeze yet these two more in the tables? :P)
We're in 63rd on Marmot and.... 1868th on Dolphin

And does anyone have a clue on why TKC is not accepting my registration? I've tried several times already and everytime it says that "an email has been sent..." but I never get anything... :-(

Yea, I thought of that the first time it failed and registered again very carefully, double checking everything I was writing. And still didn't work. :?

Well guys,

Do I add marmot and dolphin? How many are active in each?

If you mean this:

http://dolphin.twistification.net/

I do.

Yep, that's the one. Project Dolphin got two url's I see.

And I've just emailed the TKC webmaster about the registration not going. They're not doing so well, I'd say...
Forums are down, TKC support email is down (tried emailing and it bounced back) and registrations don't go through, or at least for me.
Let's see what they answer...

Ototero, on Project Dolphin half the team is active... that sounds good to hear but the catch is that we're only 8 there

On project Marmot I can't say, they don't have a list of members of our team. What they show is this...

10 participating members
17 members at the moment
16 men (94%)
1 women (6%)
So, I'm guessing this means that we got 10 active people out of 17 :?:

And I also noticed that the team founder on Marmot is a long gone member of our team. We should email the project admins asking them to change team founder to Vaughan.

You almost got there.
At the top of the page that you got to, click on
"- Classement interne - "

There are currently only 2 active members. You will find bwhite and myself are still clocking up the kilometres. I haven't a hope of catching him, but if he lets up I'll gain on him. We have been losing team ranks recently though.

Marmot does not like to run on on multiple machines so I have it running only on one. The old version used to have some problems and did not always play well with some other projects or some versions of windows. The current version has been running flawlessly now several months.

The team link for Marmot on the AMD Users DC Matrix is currently broken since Marmot moved to a different web host. I'll fix that shortly, but it will only go to the Marmot front page as their site does not allow liking directly to the "- Classement interne -" page.

FTR - we are now in 64th

checked your spam filter? maybe your email provider's spam filter?
A quick email to them could work wonders just to make sure that email from them is not being blocked. It happens.

I just PM'd you the full message source of an example TKC signup email.
They send you a link to validate your application.

Maybe they got something against hotmail then... or hotmail against them.
I'll try registering with another email and see.

Well... a few days passed and no news.
No email received from all the registration attempts I tried, with several different emails even.
No response to my email to the webmaster.
No nothing... I guess the project is closed to new members until they get TKC 2 running. :-(

i would say no to adding marmot to stats again.

It had many problems last time and since i ran it i found it to be a pain. Didnt like certain applications, caused freezes/crashes.
Even now with a proper windows version the site still has much downtime so you cannot send stats.

I've been running all four for the last few days and got nothing much to report. I'm running Marmot's new (two months old) client v4.2.
About once a day I get a message saying it couldn't pulse the server, but I don't know which one of them raised it.
I haven't had time to run a decent stress test (gaming) with all four running yet. I'll try to do that in the next few days and report any findings.

But was Marmot on the stats in the past? I don't remember seeing it. Might have been before my time. Why was it removed?

I think it may have been briefly but was taken off due to inactivity because of various problems with the old client. It clashed with other programs and sometimes caused crashes of both applications and the OS.

The latest version has none of these problems and is very stable. I have been running it (as has bwhite) since its release. It plays well with all of the other mouse and keyboard monitoring clients. Since the new version came out, I have had all of them running at once on the machine I built for my son, which he uses for gaming, without any hiccups.

Did you know that we were once in Rank #13 in this project?

Did you know that we were once in Rank #13 in this project?
No way!

I really don't remember seeing it on the stats, and even less being talked about. It must have been before my time.
But since they solved their problems now I guess we can make a comeback at it. :)

yeah it was there lol.

it wasn't too long ago neo.
But it was added but then removed as we didnt feel it was worthy of a row in ototeros stats.
possibly it has "re-earnt" this privilage :?

Has anyone noticed the similarity between setting up Dolphin and TKC??

I thought they looked like identical procedures.
