I was starting to get worried about it. This must have been the longest downtime of the site since I joined the Team.

How come the stats page was rolled back to a copy of December 14th?

I had to do a rolling backup of the entire site.

I believe there was an exploit in the SPChat module that allowed hackers to upload files to my server. They also used this server to spam thousands of people

I removed the spchat module and deleted the files they uploaded, or at least the ones they could find.

You know, the only reason the site took so long was because my upload speed is so slow.

The site is 1.5 gigs I think.....takes a lonnnnng time to upload.

lol, no, the threads and everything are contained in a DB.

The backup is actually 1.1gb. That is all the files for the site.

It has been a loooong wait. I’m used to check our site every day and I have been frustrated. It has been as a poison to check our home pages. Thank you for your hard work to sort this out.
I hope this not will happen again and the idiot who have hacked us must have sawdust in his head :twisted:
