Hi,

I have a SQUID proxy which requires a username and password to access the internet.

I am running WCG with BOINC on Red Hat and have included the username and password under options - http proxy. but this still doesn't let me upload or download new work.

Does anyone know anything else i can try?

I have even done http_proxy=http://username:password@ip:port then export http_proxy and the same for https.

Cheers,
Sam

this appears to be a recurring problem.

Here is a past post on the issue on the MJ12 forum.
http://www.majestic12.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=450&highlight=proxy
That should have been fixed in version 1.0.6
we are now working with version 1.2.2

If it still does not work for you and the documentation does not resolve your issue, post in the forum and alexc ("Majestic-12" on our forum) will sort it out with you. He is fast to respond and always keen to knock out any bugs or hassles.

I have to admit I stopped running my squid proxy a few months back after a rebuild, so I have not had the chance to experience this problem.

This problem isn't with MJ-12. WCG - BOINC on Red Hat through a SQUID proxy server.

Cheers,
Sam
