I have been off and on tonight and have not noticed this. Everything is fine here.

Site seems to load fine for me. I checked the server and CPU usage is very low and so is memory usage, so the server seems to be operating ok.

Vaughan said he had some timeout issues the other day, and I asked my host and he said he didnt have any other complaints.

Seems OK again here now. Perhaps its a local issue. I powered off my cable modem on purpose whilst I did some re-arranging of the spaghetti nest of wires under my desk and after this the internet speed improved.

Inadvertantly I knocked the power plug just loose enough so it didn't make electrical contact from the ADSL modem. After much head scratching and unkind words about networks, ADSL, computers and life in general I investigated the cause more carefully. I decided to relocate the power plug for the ADSL modem to a UPS and that was when I found it was partially inserted in the socket. Duh :!:

Yes, I noticed last night. 2 or 3 times the graphics didn't come up.

The sans Internet Storm Centre has reliable Internet Traffic reporting
(yep - I do LOVE stats  )

In the last 24 hours the Response time on one of the 2 main Sweden traffic routers blew out from about 160 ms to over 350 ms

Looking at the traffic index for the same period, this had a significant effect and would likely have been a problem for some internet users in Sweden.

(non static charts so the image at this link will change)

The up and down cycle of the indexes on a daily basis is normal as demand changes through the business day and into the evening. It could be that this graph is showing a normal result. I have not monitored the rates on that router, but I can see other routers that have lost 1/3 of their average index rate in the last 24 hours. This router just happens to be more "affected" than the other, which appeared pretty flat for the same period.

Nice stats site Dave, even though they have crap fonts. Very hard to read.
