Stage 2 is over and stage 3 has started. Everyone should read the info in the following link:

http://www.chessbrain.net/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=660

Lets get going early and kick some butt in stage 3!!! :!:  :D

There is already an AMD Users Team created so just sign up and go. I have been running the new client for about 36 hrs now and seems to be fairly stable.

Here is a link with some good instructions on how to get stage 3 up and running:

Don't forget to register EACH computer you run ChessBrain v3 on. When you've downloaded and installed it and it starts running you have to click on File -> Register and enter the e-mail address you used when you registered at the chessbrain site.

How long does it take to get the password emailed to you. 1 hour and counting here.

no because I made a another one using another email I have and have not recieved it either. If you or anyone else can try to create a new one or another using another email you have and see if works for you. Maybe overloaded today?

Looks right to me. I have 5 nodes running and the last work any of them did was between 0830 and 0900 this morning. Since then they just seem to check in with the server every now and then. Just leave it run and should go when the server starts sending out work again.

Yes I did do the UID thing. I don't know if it means anything with the newest client but I did it anyway.

The latest version of the client (v3.0126.02) posts your UID in registry when you initially register your client and also shows it when you start the client. Hopefully this is the last version for a while as ChessBrain has left for Denmark for the record attempt. Here's what mine look like when I start them:

0126-205922| ChessBrain PeerNode Client
0126-205922| Platform: ix86 Generic running pc-windows
0126-205922| Version: v3.0126.02
0126-205922| Network monitor server at: 127.0.0.1
0126-205922| Initial bootstrap process complete.
0126-205922| User account set to: 132
0126-205922| Initialization complete.
0126-205922| Searching for route to SuperNode server...
0126-205923| Using route 64.71.165.209.

That's all it should do until there is work to do...which is supposed to be wed. Read more about it here:

http://www.chessbrain.net/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=669

Hope this helps everyone. :)

As for the email thing I don't know??? I made up my password when I registered. I then went back to join AMD Users and found we didn't have a team yet for stage3 so created it. When there was work it did count for me and for AMD Users so it must be OK. All this and I still have not received an email from ChessBrain :?: :?:

Anyone getting any joy out of this appln now?

I get this:
0202-164822| Searching for route to SuperNode server...
0202-164822| Using route 64.71.165.209

It might be because they're returing from Denmark but it would've been nice to be told.
