I think you all need to know that my internet connection has traffic limits. What I mean is that I can only spend 4GB for internacional traffic and 40GB for national traffic (per month).
All the traffic generated by DC projects are considered internacional traffic and that's why I can't use some of them.
That is crazy. Maybe you could find a proxy in your country?

Also, you could specialise in projects that either take a long time to process a task (like 17 or Bust) or that can cache work / results like Distributed Folding, Community TSC and D2OL, Eccp2, Muon/DPAD and the DNet clients (but my AVG thinks there is a virus or tojan in DNet). This strategy will minimise your bandwidth use.

you can also cache jobs in find-a-drug. never realized you could do that until recently but you can use one computer as a job server and just download jobs to FDD for computer not connect to the internet

If anybody knows exactly how much bandwidth these projects use, I would like to know just out of curiosity. ;)

TSC - You can fill up to 1,000 canidates. This should last you 1 - 2 weeks depending on your processor speed. Then do a manual upload (About 10 - 15 minutes and disconnect again for another 1 - 2 weeks.

To tell the truth I don't like TSC and I don't know why.
Is there a text version?

The TSC client can be run in several different modes. There is the Java, Lite Java, File, Text modes.
I think to use other modes under windows you just need to make a shortcut to the client and edit target under properties and add the mode you want to the target. for text client add

That's right Bionic_Redneck. The other thing to do is minimise the GUI and use DSpy to monitor the task progress.

we sure could use somebody runniing the folding at home client. I have been trying to keep our spot to the best of my ability but keep losing ground [-o<
