And here we are

I only managed to login after I clicked the link to send the account key to the email. Since we had never got back an answer from them at time of joining, I didn't have a clue on my password anymore.

The website is open now for all pre-registered users.

That means these users can contact the server from the client to register your hosts and use the forums.

Please use the URL http://www.chess960athome.org/alpha to access the scheduler.

But at the moment the client application is not ready. Therefore we don't have any work for you.

Please support the other BOINC projects in the meantime.

I've joined. No work yet. Disconcerting that Boinc Manager shows the project's name as "alpha" and not "chess".

/Edit: fixed spelling error in thread title. /edit

Me too. :) Your creation with our banner is really cool, so I thought I'd give it a try ;)

Vaughan can take it off once I pass team foundership to him.

A "Linux/x86-64" test application was installed on the server. I have no idea if there's work or not... but does anyone here have a 64bit Linux machine?
(And I also don't know if they mean 64bit machine running 32bit Linux, or if a 64bit machine running 64bit Linux...)

Why? I like it. It might attract more people to visit the forums and dare I say it, they might post too.

Windows "uppercase" test application also installed, and seems like a few results were already sent out, but failed to work.

Chess960@Home is doing some stress testing and handing out PrimeGrid workunits.
Let's grab some and get points coming. :)

p.s. - This thread should really be moved to somewhere else... :P

I've created a separate forum thread for this project now. Moved the original posts to their new home.

Enjoy. :)

I actually missed this project to begin with, another one for me to crunch.

This is a good project, with very small workunits. Pity that they have set the daily quota at 100 workunits. 100 workunits can be crunched in two hours or even less.

The current daily quota ist 550.
