I've noticed that no one has crunched for QMC in a few days, and that made us drop to the second page of the stats, so I downloaded and am crunching a batch of a dozen or so workunits.

Anybody wanna join in and help get us back on the top 20? :)

Would if I could, but I have a huge list of WUs to crunch after rejoining after reverting back to 5.2.13.

I crunched about 3 yesterday, i think some are still pending. After what Nflight wrote on that 47th in predictor page, i started crunching for all BOINC projects instead of just malaria.

Cheers guys.

When I first started they were fairly steady at 4 hours, then jumped to 11 :?

It's just started work and it's currently got a big debt so we'll see what happens...

Hej

After an Average turnaround of 1.81 days my Intel PII 350 MHz 128 MB RAM finally have done the first results earning 74.96 in Total credit and 41.40 in recent average credit and a 8th rank.

I have removed a few programs, cleaned the disc, run Ad-Adware Se and run Defrag. Right now I run a task as will be done after 69 hours but when looking on this WU it suddenly raised to 294 hours. I don’t understand why this happen. When I run Benchmark it shows 69 hours bit after a while I has got up to 294 hours.

Guys out there: have you an old computer (mine is from 1999) put it in this project or Hashclash an let your computer work. It isn´t hopeless if you think so. Of sourse it is far better if you have 192 MB ram and 500 MHz.

I've got an old 226Mhz on Reisel seive. Which is good because you select your own WU size. :D

A 266Mhz with 192Mb RAM (mine) can happily run Rosetta and SIMAP.

Don´t be worry. When I had download the WU it should take 8.40 hours. However I have run uFluid and QMC had been resumed several times and now it shows the work units will take 21 hours.

I´dont know why the time have change.

Hi

I have sent a PM to QMC´s forums telling my (weird?) WU as will take about roughly 250 hours to be done on my Intel PII. Used CPU-time is so far 97.50 hours and 43.10 % done.

I have asked what happen if the work units fail or got an error. Will I get any points?

I got a reply who says I will get an answer tomorrow when the experts are back.

Hi

Whoa, after 227 hours and over 110 % is the WU done and I claimed 400 points. That was more than I though.

When I began to run that heavy work I ran Red Library at the same time 4-5 days and that project slowed the Intel down a lot. After cancelling Red Library it starts to rock and got twice so fast.
