This will teach me not to leave my precious parked on the street. There's some dumb drivers out there :!:

That's excruciatingly bad luck.

It looks like the door panel was the only one affected, so hopefully that's the extent of the damage. It doesn't look like a high impact so the pillars, fore and mid, should be fine (cross fingers).

Check the neighbour's bumpers for silver paint, take a photo & send the address to the insurance company.

Then, after it is fixed, secretly put raw prawns inside their curtain rails. (Shhhhh!)

apart from the bruising it still looks like an awesome mobile! is that a Holden?

...and what's all this about raw prawns in curtain rails???

It should be a crime to do a thing like that to such a pretty car... oh well, fact of life is that the worst stains always land on the best shirts.

What a bummer. There should be a "right to kill" if you catch the person.

Or "2 eyes for an eye".

It won't put your car right, but it will make you feel better.

slighty off-topic: You Aussies get the absolute coolest cars. :D Here in the US they finally imported the Holden Monaro (sold here as the Pontiac GTO, and in the UK as a Vauxhall) a couple years ago and its sales have absolutely flopped and is to be discontinued here. Which is ridiculous because it a brilliant car and dirt cheap here. Unfortunately unless its a 4-cylinder front wheel drive, the idiots in US auto industry (and I guess the car-buying public is as much at fault) don't even TRY to sell it.

The holden is a right bruiser of a car (the 6.0 v8 VXR especially)! ...it's not doing too bad here as it is so much cheaper that it's competitors, rough round the edges but a right laugh to drive apparently! (a bit like an Aussie then! Only joking! ...or am I ;) ) ...I'm surprised it doesn't sell well in the US especially as it has a thumping big V8 in it!

Never heard of an XR6 turbo though! ...sounds as mad as a hatter when pushed as I've just read an Aussie road test http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring/news_reports/xrt_xr6t.htm

Have you checked your neighbours cars yet???

Hi

Any here as has test drove or own a Volvo or SAAB? I know in the USA these makes are sold.

Volvo has V70 Cabriolet and XC70, XC90, S40, S60, S80, V50, V70 models.
SAAB is the car as feels more like a sport car when driving it I think and can go very fast over 200 km/h but that can Volvo too.

Both makes have Turbo engines as is very modern and strong.

They have before been a genuine Swedish make but are now acquired by GM and Ford years ago but are still made in Sweden.

Especially Volvo was a good affair for Ford because Volvo generates money. SAAB has only give GM problems and not generate any profit.

I myself own a Volvo 850 GLT 170 Hp and very good to pull our caravan built in Finland by Solifer and is 5.40 m long.

Very sorry to see that Vaughan. I had my pickup parked at a friends house a couple years ago on the street. I go inside and hear a car flying by and a crash. The guy side swiped my truck but luckily my tires stick out and kept the damage to a minimum. He on the other hand lost his plastic bumper and license plate. :P
