Hi

That happens in HashClash when 2 guys manipulate the work units and use the same IP-address and uploaded the same work 4 times. They was a team and earned 10.398.828.38 points.

Here is the penalty:

The guy asked for correcting of their stats and the reply from the admin/moderator was this:

Don't worry, it was still in the cache.
The stats for all hosts with ridiculous amounts of credits were reset to 0.
Stats for the users and teams were then recalculated as host totals.

And any credits lost because of this are your own fault.

You should know that no demonstration was necessary, it is a known fact.
Projects still can choose to not waste time by sending WU's 3-4 times depending on other reasons.

Why is it that some people are so "hacker-minded" and can only think of one way to show a problem...
Would he have posted on the HashClash board and I'm sure Marc would have fixed it...

Would be funny if civil engineers acted like that. In finding a crack on a wall of a building they'd bomb the building and then say "See? I told you that crack on the wall could risk the building to collapse!"

People who cheat to gain extra credit are just morons in my opinion. It's not like you are winning extra credit for prizes or extra respect or anything.
