That was an excellent Grand Prix, watched it early this morning on TV!

gotta feel sorry for Button though, he should have pushed it those last few metres! :-(

Great pics Vaughan, keep 'em coming! (I'm very jealous  :D )

great shots!
Looks like you had a great time too.

I didn't know about the sticker in the cockpit.
GP17 - is that a "dry run" fro the crew?

@ blackheath

there was no way he could allow his car to cross the finish line - and not let everyone find out about that new booster rocket technology

That was some engine fire.
I'm sure he was happy to be out of the car even if the finish line was 50 metres away.

Looks like a blast! The race will be on TV here in a few hours, unfortunately I no longer get the channel its on. All we get here on a regular basis is NASCAR or IRL (like F1 only not as fun). And We NEVER get WRC (rally) coverage. Next thing I have to look forward to is 24hrs of LeMans and the American LeMans Series.

Hi

Great photos. Vaughan how could you come so near the car depot? Are you friends with any high boss in the racing team?

Lagu :)

Excellent photes. Must be a ferrari fan

I believe Jenson was told to stop short of the line so he wouldn't have a 10 place penalty at the next race.

Yes, the pit crew did lots of practices. They got a "pretend" 4 tyre change and re-fuel down to around 6 secs

The poor guy at the rear who had the job of jacking the car up kept messing up. They repeated the practice several times until they got it right.

My boss paid a fortune for the best seats / table in the Paddock Club Ferrari Club. Part of the package deal is a walk through pit lane and a personalised walk through the Ferrari pit. You can ask any question you want and photograph anything except the engines.

Updated with more pics :!:

GP22, GP23 & GP24 show the Intel vs AMD rivalry is alive and well even in Formula 1.

GP25, GP31, GP32 and GP33 show the Safety Car. Now that's a good looking Merc.

GP35 - decent petrol bowser hey?

GP27 - Toyota girls were very photogenic

Re button stopping short of the line: that makes sense. If they have a DNF there is no penalty for changing motor before the next race.
