I had heard about it for a while but only now I decided to try it myself. And it still works!

The client app can be downloaded from here:
http://www.climateprediction.net/download/index.php

Then you install it, start it, log on to your old account or create a new one, and get it going. To see stats, your profile and other stuff, you log in here:
http://cpdn.comlab.ox.ac.uk/user/login.php

And here's our Team, ranked 36th:

One good thing of the classic app is that it's not very demanding on resources. A model takes about 50 megs of RAM plus 50 of VM, and 600 megs of HD space. On my XP2000 it runs pretty fast, about 1s/TS.

If you click on the "36" (our rank) on the teams list, you don't see the team members?

I don't know if it's necessary to login, but I can see us.

Believe you do have to sign in.

I've got a classic account :) tried looking for it the other day but couldn't get in

Cant find an answer anywhere but does it have a time limit on the data?
I tried to run a BOINC model on a 266Mhz machine with 192Mb RAM and it wanted to take 17,000 hours... that worked out about a year and a bit so I'd miss the deadline.

Though I'd like to run the classic if there's no time limit...

I don't know... either it does not have time limit or it also has the standard 1 year deadline :?:
Can't see anything written about it either...

But this one seems faster and lighter on the resources than any of the boinc ones that I've seen, so it might finish in time even on your old machine.:)

Might power it up for a bit of Classic action
