Nope not trying again.

been warned not all projects will accept it so downgraded again and had to do a complete reinstall of BOINC deleting all the files :mad:

Not recommeneded unless you really want to help develop it and dont mind if not all the projects will accept connections.

Having only got 3 in a farm, not really. I tried it.

Seemed the same as the one's at the minute (connect to computer), something I'd not figured out before anyhow. :-(

Running 5.4.7 on my laptop now. It didn't have any optimised clients so it didn't lose any benchmarks. :)

Will see how it goes.

Might appear that SIMAP does accept connections?
I cant see on the site whether it says what client a computer is actually using or something but it's running the units it had before no problems (when I tried 5.4.4 it didn't and I had to download new ones)

Will keep trying and keep you informed.
