SwEEt, dumping in progress. You like my new Avatar?

Nice Avatar, nice color scheme, I hope everyone can handle a lot of WU's as I just put a major load on the server status page @ SZtaki for a short time of 20 minutes of dumping. I may be nothing compared to MItro and his workhorses of 4 dual cores, but My mighty 1 1/2 Dual Cares are doing there best to make it all look good from my end!

Here is to 4 1/2 days of crunching with no network activity. :D

EDIT: I wanted to show how much improvement our little Dumping of WU's made in the past few minutes: http://szdg.lpds.sztaki.hu/szdg/statistics.php
The quick up turn of the Graph as you scroll down the page look at the [Last 48 hours Performance] Graph for the best upturn pictorial... :)

Hi

I´ve checked my stats on SZTAKI and notised following:

3 different computers have run the same WU, I, Mitro and Attila from Hungary.

Attila: Intel Celeron, Credit 6.48
Mitro: AMD Opteron 165, Credit: 26.41
Me: AMD Athlon 64 3200+, Credit: 23,86.

Claimed credits for us all: 23.86. As you can see Attila have got good credits and is the guy is the winner  My mate Mitro is the loser but only little. Not fair :!:

Unlike Leiden Classical an Intel Celeron or Intel P4 can verify our WU´s and as you all know we always get better credits than they as run Intels and they will always be the winner I think.

Hmm... Looks like it started earlier than usual. Ah well, I had enough WUs to last me over the weekend. :)

Guys... I had posted the links of this week's race, but the forum changes have deleted them...

I can't access the amdusers.com ftp either, so I don't know if the pages are still there or not. Either way I have backups, so if tonight the ftp doesn't work I'll post them on an alternate place.

I won't be as active as before for the remainder of the competition. It's getting hotter everyday, and my CPU yesterday was running @ 62 degrees Celsius.

I have the same problem as gamer007and likewise won't be as active. As it gets warmer my cpus are hitting 50c+. the cpus may be rated to run at 75c but I just don't like it :-(

Looks like our south hemisphere competitors are gonna have an advantage.

By the way... finally the site is up again, and I'm able to log in to the ftp

Contest stats are updated! :)

Sorry NeoGen but could you publish the URLs for the stats pages as I can't remember where to find them.

Thanks

Am I in the right place? I´ve only 2 computers running. My Intel runs MoneyBee.

NeoGen

Yes Lagu, so far you're on the right place. :)

You unloaded 1,200 credits on the first day, and at the established average rate of 600/day those credits alone would keep you on the pharmers league for at least two days. :)

But as you keep making more credit, you might stay there until the end of the week. You just have to hit 3,000 credits by Friday. (600/day x 5 days)

EDIT: If you don't hit the 3,000 points you'll go down to the Regulars League... but there you'll be automatically 1st ranked. :P

Oh dear, I clanged somewhere and have ended up in the Pharmers league with only one computer. Guess I'll get my a*s well and truly kicked now. :?
PS I'm Sou'westerly, there were just "too many Daves" to find myself in the stats. Dave

NeoGen

Over 3,000 credits already means that you'll stay there. A dual-core is like having two computers in one. :)

Today's stats are online. :)

Lagu, you ended up falling to the Regulars League, as you didn't hit 1,800 today.
But there I doubt anyone can take away your spot. :P

Wait to todays stats. I think it is greater. I discovered my 32 WU´s had been paused 2 days ago and not got contact with the server. Yesterday I uploaded 42 results.

I say it again: Intel and MacIntosh is the computers as sabotage for us AMDusers.

I´ve got 21.29 points. I gets often higher points than other. But claimed credits is only 5.97. Why?

Yes there are Intels as is verifying the WU and sometimes MacIntosh. :shaking: There seems to be more Intels than AMD´s. They should be forbidden :stop: :!: :!:

It is too bad. If they not should verify a WU we all got the points we have the right to.

If i should crunch 5 tasks and claim 20 points for each i should have 100 points instead for ca 30. This is a certain difference.

Don't get too despondent Lagu, look at this result

http://szdg.lpds.sztaki.hu/szdg/workunit.php?wuid=642623

If two AMDs crunch the same WU then the intels curl up and fry.

Dave.

Hey I'm not a newbie anymore, what happened?

I´ve got 21.29 points. I gets often higher points than other. But claimed credits is only 5.97. Why?

remember if the intels and Mac's aren't using a kind of optimised client, then there score will be much lower than yours if you are. ;) This would also apply to AMD' chips without an optmised client.

I personally can't argue the race for 4th & 5th place is gruelling, either one of us will finish ahead of the other. I understand there is rivalry in every position but sometimes the little people in the back of the line deserve some credit too.

AMD USER_jl is giving me a headache as he passes then falls back behind the nemisis SOU.WESTERLY day after day after day! It is sooo close a race back here one person could sneeze and the other two close competititors could pass as the sneezer pauses to blow there nose.

Meanwhile I have had an error in my system to contend with and just over night submitted over 50 WU's. This should bring me back to very large numbers for the 5th Day of the Race! [I want 10th position in the Team by the end of the race]

With out a competition I would not have found the enthusiasm to complete a personal project of my own, Thanks to You NeoGen for having this competition. :)

Hi

Of all as have 2 computers running my AMD Athlon 1001 is the least computer of them all. Yet I have better daily results than Empty_5oul.
I’m only running SZTAKI and no other project besides and 7/24. I’m not sure all other members are running full time and only one project.

But I reminds Empty_5oul have got a high electrical bill and perhaps only is running during the day.

I seems as I will outclass all other but I also uploaded more WU´s the first day than any other.

My connection went down twice for half a day. Then my dad turned off my computer for a night, so i lost about a day and half of crunching time. I guess I should have listened to Nflight when he talked about using a b-g cache. :D

Decrease: 1.041.9 GFLOP/s

Last 48 hours performance
May 17 1.846

Decrease: 0.4 GFLOP/s

Number of hosts the last 28 days
May 11 19.555
May 14 20.657
May 19 21.734
Decrease: 2.179 Hosts

As it's been starting to become routine, my net connection is lousy at weekends... starting friday night and ending Sunday night. Funny that monday morning everything seems to be ok again...

I finally made it to upload the final stats of the SZTAKI race, plus the overall championship, plus the country ones too. :)

Wow that was a close finish Blackheath :)

You just pipped me at the post. I shall have harsh words with my XP3000+ that decided to lose its RAID mirror array on Wednesday night. When I tried to rebuild the mirror I stuffed it up and used the wrong drive. I'll put that down to a "Carbon based error" and not a Silicon one :D

Next I had an error that said NTFS.sys was corrupted. WTF :!:  damned Windows

After a low level format of both drives and a re-install of Windows XP then AVG then BOINC and the Crunch3r's optimization I'm back in business.

Just got a huge cache of Sztaki work to crunch now.

Strongbow
05-20-2006, 08:24 AM

Thanks to the 'carbon based error' for letting me win!!!

Thank you dAVe. I newer though I should be no 1 twice so far. Other members have much more powerful computers than me. The only one I have as really can ompete with others is my AMD Athlon 2300+.

Hi

I´ve checked SZTAKI´s stats page and all our works is yet not validated ready. And there is a lot of WU´s as have timed out IE not been crunched.

Lagu :)

Empty_5oul
06-01-2006, 09:55 AM
lagu whcih page were you looking at?

do you mean our as a team or just your completed work.

Lagu
06-01-2006, 09:57 PM
I think it was mitro´s. He use to download a lot of files and it seems as he not could run them all.
There should be a green colour for each work but it is red what it now mean.

Lagu :)

Empty_5oul
06-01-2006, 10:46 PM
yeah. all those in red have expired time wise.
therefore they get sent out to other people but if returned by mitro soon have the possibility of gaining credit.

some are green meaning they were crunched sucessfully and validated.

A few have pending but this is cause other people timed these out, therefore sending them out to other people to be crunched mean they had to wait the time to expire to be re-released.

Its always my fault. It won't happen again.

Empty_5oul
06-01-2006, 11:20 PM
i guess thats the only downside to have machines with big queues of work. With the power failure etc etc it was out of your control though.
so i wouldn't worry too much.

Strongbow
06-02-2006, 09:33 AM
My fault as well as I have been detaching any non crunched WUs at the end of each race due to flushing my system in preparation for the next!

It's no big issue though as they would eventually get rescheduled and allocated to someone else! ...well at least that's what I'm thinking would happen!?!

Lagu
06-02-2006, 10:58 AM
Yes, it is a trifle. Not much to talk about.
