Yay, time to upload my lowly 10 WUs. :D

Evil-Dragon

Well i only managed to stock up about 6 completed WU's...

1hr 10 mins per WU on AMD X2 4200+
1hr 20 mins per WU on AMD 64 3200+

The intel machine I was also using is out of the race due to me leaving my employment (it was my work machine)

gamer007
05-28-2006, 11:30 PM
My WUs take around 2 hours on my only 1700+. :-(

I bring in 30 credits.. only to gain only 10 because of BOINC "n00bs" not using optimized clients.

NeoGen
05-28-2006, 11:33 PM
Looking at boinc synergy's stats I see Chris Icide quite active up there... around 2,500 credits per day steady, sometimes more!
I don't know if he's around and has some workunits queued to dump today/tomorrow but even if not, at that rate he'll be a fierce competitor on the pharmers league. :)

I moved three more computers over to SIMAP (off of climate prediction) today for the remainder of the race.

Once done, they'll be looking for a new project (I'm done with climate prediction now)

Sorry for the delay... there were some minor problems with names that were not being correctly recognized and I had to edit a bit by hand on the last minute... :P

But here they are! :)

Pharmers League (http://neogen.amdusers.com/contest2006/race4p.htm)
Regulars League (http://neogen.amdusers.com/contest2006/race4r.htm)

Chris Icide is on fire... maybe this time mitro will have some head-to-head competition? :P

Chris Icide is on fire... maybe this time mitro will have some head-to-head competition? :PI won't be much competition. I'm only going to be running 3 of 4 machines on SIMAP. MY work computer must have had a meltdown over the weekend and I think SIMAPs WUs are just a tad bit to big for downloading over dial-up. :) So that one will skip ahead to Rosetta. :)

Empty_5oul

i think the cut off is at 600. so if you hit this or above you go into the top league. Otherwise your in the lower band (regular league)

Wait - was I supposed to report them all at once?

I've just let it run for a day or 2... Got about 200 points, but It's running 50/50 with WCG

NeoGen

Stats updated as usual. :)

Vaughan and mitro are gaining momentum. Let's see if it continues. :P

By the way... I've heard that SIMAP can be a bit slow to validate results, which makes people have large amounts of pending credits. How many people are having this problem here? Should I do like Leiden and extend the race a couple more days?

mitro
05-31-2006, 02:31 AM
I have 6390 credits pending. LOL

Doesn't matter to me though. Either way is fine

UNIX clients: Alpha versions of several UNIX/x86 clients are available for download and testing. Those clients should use the anonymous platform as described on the UNIX client download page. We have created two new forums (german and english) for discussing UNIX client related problems and solutions

I'll be back home tonight. Then I can switch to the optimised client and see what happens

I'm ball'sed up for the day, I accidentally got my BOINCView to set all projects to request work for the day so my client is busy for the rest of the day with other units... oh well it's nice to do some different work for the day.

Sorry for not giving news. My net connection has been down since yesterday. I tried updating the stats until 1 am but to no avail, so I went to bed, and updated them this morning at 8. And my net connection is still very bad, I haven't managed to upload the stats yet.

One weird thing.... mitro, you disappeared from the teams stats?? I thought it was a glitch but then I checked on the SIMAP site and you did disappear. :?
I hope everything gets fixed up by tonight. In the meantime I have not a clue on what points you got so I left your name there but you're not on the rankings.

Losing net access is a terrible feeling isn't it

Just ask AMDave how he felt when his ISP summarily terminated his account. Bet there was plenty of cursing that night, hey Dave?

Nice day vaughan!

Everywhere I look for Mitro I find him listed as not being in a team. What happened? This is the big hearted guy who lent out his computers to spice up our race. I hope it is a glitch somewhere as I shall really miss him if he is gone. Dave.

The contest ended a couple of hours later than it should due to my lousy internet connection... Couldn't stay online time enough to do the stats updates.
But now it's done, and the contest reached an end.

Congrats to Chris Icide and AMD-USR_JL, our SIMAP Race Champions on each league! :)

Chris, you can rest easy again, vaughan didn't catch you. Altough
maybe if the contest had lasted for a couple more days, I don't know... :P

Mitro seems to have left us, which is a shame. :-( I have had severe net problems for the last three days, so I haven't been able to keep up with the posts here. I'm not really aware of what happened. But I hope mitro comes around to at least chat with us.

Congratulations to Chris Icide and AMD-USR_JL.

Chris I nearly caught you :)

Last night we had no power from about 3am. I spent a few hours trying to locate the faulty device that kept the ELCB tripping. I had turned off every PC and UPS, every heater, the dishwasher even the beer fridge in the garage but still the switch refused to be reset. Lisa then discovered that the floor was wet around the fishtank  and that the tank level had dropped several cms. Further investigation showed the filter was clogged making the water pumped from the tank overflow. It was falling onto a 4x powerboard and then across the floor.

The earth leakage circuit breaker was actually doing what it was supposed to do - saving us from getting electrocuted :!:

Pity it all happened at 3am as I lost several hours of crunching time

Congrats to the winners.
That was fun, it give me a chance to see what my boxes could do.
I'll be running Rosetta next week but for Canada, helping them move up a spot.

But I'll be joining you for Einstein race. This time I'll be ready.

I'll have box #4 finished in a few hours another Sempron 3100+. :D
Now where I did put that Einstein optimizer.

Save me a spot in the Pharmers.
