While this isn't a distributed.net related question, it does deal with RSA challenges. RSA-576 has been factored, and at one point one of the teams working on it had mentioned that they were going to give RSA-704 or higher a try. Is anyone aware of any new or follow on RSA challenges being run in the distributed computing environment, boinc or otherwise?

Welcome to the forum Rimrock. To answer your question this is excerpted from the BOINC PrimeGrid (www.primegrid.com) page:

"... PrimeGrid is generating a public number of prime number database and is using it to factorize the number in the RSA Factoring Challenge, ..."

PrimeGrid is only windows, uses bittorent tech to distribute stuff, gives you work for a couple projects, has a lot of downtime and uses a lot of memory. Myself, I was hoping for something like the old RSAttack-576 or distributed.net technology.
