Difficult get many WU

Ì´ve downloaded 1 WU and I have set 10 days before connection.

I got a message saying: Communication refused.

I´m unsure because NeoGen not have said go yet?

I think so but haven't tried to get work yet. I'm still finishing off other cached work.

Are you still getting the communications error?

I get this sort of problem intermittantly when running a Torrent - sort of sucks all the bandwidth out of the Cable for itself :?

Oooh, what client are you running? Azureus, BitComet, Mainline (original), utorrent, or ABC? Depending on what client you are running go to the options tab, and see if you can limit your upload/download.

Doomeva found a way to get it to pull down 80+kbps instead of its usual 15-20. All I have to do is use the options to throttle it back now during Peak times and let it scream during Off-Peak.

I've set one PC up to Allow Einstein tasks tonight. Nothing yet but I'll check in the morning.

Yes, I still only get one work. When it is done a new task is downloaded. But now the connection is open but yet only one.

I’ve completed many works but it says not request new work or reporting completed tasks when I try to click on send and receive. It is something wrong here.

Try this:
When the task is running on the Work Tab in BOINC Manager left click on the task and then click on Suspend.
Now go to the Projects Tab and click on Update.
See if this downloads any task(s). It might get one.

Repeat until BOINC won't allow anymore because the computer is overcommitted or similar phrase in Messages Tab.

When you have enough work cached, Un-Suspend each task. Note this can be tedious with a project with lots of small tasks like HashClash. Should be OK with Einstein as the tasks are longer to crunch.

Lagu, I think that you have hit the 8 WUs per day limit. See this http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/faq.php#daily_quota. Make sure that you have 10 days set on your general preferences. Also check that you have not set one of you computers to home/school/work with different preferences. I'm pretty sure that you won't get more than 32 WUs per CPU though. dAVE.

I wonder if should be a problem when they have a limit of 32 WU`s during a 24 hour period?

After I installed the newest optimised cruncher3 version there happen anything as I don´t know of:

Even if I have set "Forbidden netvork" all WU`s as is done leaks out. I can´t hold them into Boinc Manager.

I dont know why.

Yes I have set it to 10.0 in bot general and home preferences.

Lagu, Crunch3r's BOINC client was written to report WUs as soon as they were finished and not wait for the next scheduled contact. I think you have to unplug the computer from your network to stop it reporting. I don't run this client though so perhaps someone who does can tell you a less drastic way. dAVE

Version 5.50 (Crunch3r's) reports as soon as you upload a WU. I believe older version just upload, and you either force an update, or wait for the next update automatically.

I suspended network activity to prevent any talk to the servers.

Activity tab -> Network Activity Suspended. :)

Sorry... :oops:
It only "started" at 08:40 because my net connection last night kept crashing. After several tries into the night I finally gave up and scheduled it for first thing in the morning.
I picked up boinc synergy's stats that are dated "Mon 12 Jun 08:40:03 2006 GMT". I'll use these as base reference.

But fear not... Since Boinc Synergy's stats show the daily values for everyone I'll subtract today's numbers from your totals and get the values that you had up to last night. :)
