Still around 500 credits pending.

This race will be 9 days long, hopefully that'll be enough to help clear long pending credits queues. :)

Sweet! *bumps up queue back to 10 days*

And away we go!

Chris Icide and Blackheat having a blast of a start, everyone was left way behind these two's turbocharged crunching machines. Go for it guys! :D

What am I doing in pharmers league?
All I have is my lowly Pentium 4 Prescott core 3.0GHz. My Athlon is gone now to my brother.

*looks for rules on how I got into pharmers*

Oh... 600 creds/day. Whoops, maybe I shouldn't have backlogged so much WUs. Can I get "demoted" if I don't get 600 for Day 2?

NeoGen
06-30-2006, 12:58 AM
Yup, if you don't maintain a 600/day average you'll be "demoted" to the regulars league. Let's see how you do in the next few days. :)

I gotta stop fiddling around w/ vista and get some more credits! I'll lose my 1st place soon! :P

NeoGen
06-30-2006, 11:28 PM
Your estimates are very close to the bullseye Empty_5oul. :)
But this time you missed by a little more than the last time, you did 622.35.

And on the top fellows race, Blackheat wasn't able to keep up the pace, so now Chris is solo in the lead.

I need more computers and processing power! :P

NeoGen

Yep, it happened, you were overtaken. And by several people at once even.

#1 in Regular's League - Woot :!:

That's what happens when I try to defend my World Top 10 ranks in Chess960@Home and XtremLab.

Only thing is I have my 1 computer. :-( I'm trying to juggle leaving my computer on overnight w/o pissing my parents off. They don't really know I'm doing this. Plus they do get a bit concerned w/ the power bill.

Chris Icide is unstopable!! :)

And speaking of big credits, Hermann seems to have turned on the turbo recently, he just jumped up to the Pharmers league. Way to go Hermann! :)

I fed it some wheaties....

Actually I think Malaria control is alot like SIMAP in that it takes a LONG time for a machine to actually reach it's daily credit value. It took the systems I have running on SIMAP almost two weeks to stablize at the credit per day value they are at. I'm not sure why, however, I can't say I grasp the way credit is calculated in BOINC, especially the RAC values.

Is it me? Or is there no update today? :?

NeoGen
07-06-2006, 08:56 AM
There was update last night gamer. You did 274.57 credits, and we had a new member joining the Team. :)
Can't you see the page?

I hate time zones, makes it confusing w/ the dates.

cicide

Hey, I was still getting credit for a couple of the machines that have been running Malariacontrol all this race on SIMAP as late as yesterday.... Seems the more quorum you require, the longer it takes for a system to reach it's stable level of credit.

At least thats my guess

Oh, and our team is #2 by RAC, only 400 RAC behind the #1 team!

And we've reached the chequered flag for another race, with Chris Icide leading by far on the Pharmers league, and Hermann leading the Regulars league after having experienced the upper league for some time. :)

Way to go fellows! :D

And don't forget, in 2 days from now starts the PrimeGrid race! Damaddog and DMMc are strong crunchers there, anyone wanna challenge those two? :)

Good job not updating the regular's page. ;)

EDIT: Now it's updated. And where did Hermann come from? I didn't even notice his name earlier!

NeoGen
07-08-2006, 01:53 AM
I think you're having problems refreshing the page gamer. I always update both at the same time (give or take a few seconds). If you're using IE then don't feel bad because you're not alone. I too get problems with pages not refreshing often, the solution for me has always been to do a "hard refresh" - Ctrl + F5.

Oh, and Hermann came from "above" :P

I'm using FireFox. I have the Cache set to 70mb. I've always thought the cache was for images. Maybe it's for full pages as well?

Nope, it caches all the HTML as well!

If you have a DSL Internet connection you should set the preferences in your browser to clear the cache when closing the browser. I used to have the same problem but since I start the browser with a clean cache (with DSL no problem) I always have the actual and latest version of the web-pages visited.

As a result of the race, AMD Users now holds the #1 position in RAC for all teams in Malaria Control.

Thanks for the suggestion. :)

And great job everyone for getting us to #1 in RAC! Now let's try to get top for Most Credit. ;)
