Here we go.

Bit late but as mentioned before, I cant access the web at home but here's the starting figures fior the race!

Starting Totals

94 Phoenix Rising 7,899,192
449 AMD Users 947,556

Next stats updates will be the amount of points added to this score! :)

(stats might be a day behind....) ;)

Strongbow

Are you sure it shouldn't look like this...

947 Phoenix Rising 899,192
449 AMD Users 947,556

So who has the right stats?

Ototero

Drezha is right. They are 94th. We a little bit lower

i put this together earlier: http://stats.amdusers.com/competition.html

do you guys like it? do you want me to keep it updated? - it will usually be 1 day old due to the stats.

I really like it. :D
Q: We have actually crunched more today than TPR?
A: Yes by 5 points.

Here are the team stats pages from Extreme Overclocking vaughan had posted earlier.

AMD Users (http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_summary.php?s=&t=13129)

Big Whiskey - that is what i used for "my" stats. It seems to update fairly frequently aswell.

Big Whiskey

Don't worry Empty I'll be checking your stat page every day. :D

I post team stat pages because on the left there is Team Users List, you
can see who has return results in the last 24 hrs. Less then 30 members are crunching for TPR and we have around 20.

With some more crunchers we'll be dining on roasted Pheasant.

I have a query about the stats on Boks site.

Bok - AMD Users placed 19, 961,574 points, 9270 WUs

FaH - AMD Users placed 448, 963,153 points, 9281 WUs

Given that the points and wus only broadly similar, why the big difference between the positions.

I must admit, I prefer Boks. But what is the truth.

vaughan
08-03-2006, 08:51 AM
I think the answer is that Bok doesn't track all teams in FAH, just those that request it.

Same applies to his UD - Grid stats.

I've been running my 500,000 steps wu for several days too, but only at night as it's been pretty hot around here.

There's a bug in the stats. The pheasants have two different points values on day 4?

Empty_5oul

from a Folding newbie
Why is there a huge difference in the number of work units?
take Aug. 2nd
AMD 54 done
TPR 1311 done

Ototero
08-06-2006, 07:16 PM
Maybe TPR have a way of requesting smaller WUs :D

All my ones are big 4 day versions  (and I haven't ticked the big WU box)

AMD-USR_JL
08-06-2006, 07:33 PM
Drezha said you can get something like 60% bonus points per workunit if you run the -bigwu and -advanced methods flags. :D I have both running and they only take up 12MB of ram per core. :D Maybe i just got small workunits, but it still must be giving the 60% bonus points. :D

Nightlord
08-06-2006, 08:22 PM
I've been puzzling over that too and came to the conclusion that there was something wrong with the numbers.

Only today TPR crunched our 100,000th WU. If the 1311 WU number was correct, it would mean that we have only been crunching for an average of 76 days!

Something is broke me thinks.

Big Whiskey
08-07-2006, 12:29 AM
@nightlord

apparentlly it's one of your team that's broken
after your post I check your team's stat
check out your buds stats Hidden Spirit (http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=177053)
he blown thru 6000 WU for 1000 credits just in last five days
one of his box is out of control

Strongbow
08-07-2006, 10:59 AM
One of my systems cores just completed a project and it looks like it did roughly 50WUs in one shot???

Not sure how it did it but I didn't get many points for it? about 200-300

EDIT: Now this is interesting!

F@H had hardly any utilization on that core and looked like it was hung on "Entering M.D.", restarted it and all is OK now but just went into detail on my stats and it looks like I was awarded 48 completed WUs but with no points!?!

Hids is actually a she ;)

It looks like she might a PC that is EUE a lot... :? Maybe running the advanced methods and it not having SSE support or something... I'll see if I can bruing it to her attention.

but as I know, before folding units used to be very low scores a unit...ie maybe 10 or something...therefore people can have scores of 10,000 with like 250+ WU's or something... :?

Yep, I remember back when I was crunching under Brucifer for US-Distributed, the points went pretty slow as compared to now. :D

Big Whiskey

My apoligies to Hidden Spirit

HER stats drew my attention because SHE'S got 20,000 credits and 7900 WU's less then 3 credits per WU

for some reason they like giving me these 50 million steps ones(figured out yesterday 1 frame equals 1000 steps) which takes a couple of days to crunch, I want to see if could get these smaller work units too.

now that I know it's a problem with Folding I'll just keep crunching my ugly work unlts and smile :D

hope Hids gets things straighten out

drezha
08-07-2006, 07:16 PM
I've left a message on TPR and she'll try and figure whats wrong. :)

I'll take the big ones if you like and you can have the smaller ones I'm getting!

I believe the larger ones generally give better PPD scores ;)

Strongbow

WOW 1 million points...I think we are advancing well, way to go TEAM !!! :D
I have a 600 pointer I'm crunching now, will be done early on the 15th.It seems that Electron Microscope says that for the large WU's that my output per day ( score ) is greater, does that jive with the rest of the Teams experence??

Brucifer
08-13-2006, 09:54 PM
I couldn't say really, but maybe that is why I seem to be overloaded with massively long work units.

Will be going offline here shortly as I'm heading out of town for a week. I'm trying to get my short ones completed quickly. The other ones have expirations like in November and December.

Empty_5oul
08-15-2006, 05:13 PM

TPR you got very high WU completion numbers for the past 2 days. You may want to check if the mahines are playing up?

drezha
08-17-2006, 06:59 PM
Yeah it's Hidden Spirit I believe.

The PC dislikes running Folding and a Renegade+ Teamspeak server.

Probably best if it didn't even try to run folding to help the project more TBH

Sorry, I couldn't make the result any closer for you, but you gained a huge number of places and overall science was the winner ;)

So, you'll have to return the challenge on a different project next time.

I'd love to take that credit, but I started around 300 points ahead of you on the 1st of the month. For work done during the month you were just ahead.

In the last week I kept my eyes on bok's stats sorted by last 28 days

Good racing. You kept me very focused ;)
