CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)TWIN2X2048-6400

Both MB can't handle a mem volt setting above 1.9 (so be careful)
A BIOS up-date may fix this but don't hold your breath.

I too am going to redo my 3500+ and convert her to a 4200+ along side the other 4200+, I am tired of single core and going with some extra umph. I can't wait till the quad cores come out so now is just as good as later.

Swap will take place August 22.

I am running a PC3200 corsair on a Asus MB, A8N-SLI Deluxe. My current system config has total 2 gig or 4 sticks of memory each 512k.

The 3500 and 4200 both are 939 pin so an easy swap.

@Nflight

Check out this article AM2 3500 (http://www.virtual-hideout.net/articles/AMD_AM2_3500+_Overclocking/index.shtml)
they took a 3500 AM2 2.2ghz and overclocked it to 2.75 :shocked!:
That's why I'm going AM2

after things settle down with all the new mobo's I'll get my new proc(Athlon 64 X2 4200) the proper board, memory and cooling to overlcock the hell out of it

I have big thanks going out to daddygeek

thanks Nflight
the second one was especially informative

after reading it I went back and check Athlon64 3200 box to realize I had single channel ram, another thing fix

I'm going spend next couple of months fixing up the pharm
first I'll fix up the network
then better cooling, on a hot day my apartment hit 35 C(95 F) plus, don't have AC

if I can tweak one or two even better
in about a month I'll be looking for more info

Cheers
