There is a special connection between him and the team. He's suck

I have to disagree, he doesn't suck... i'm not sure what this thread is supposed to do to be honest.

At least he spends plenty of time running Rosetta and keeping people updated. We need more project owners doing such things these days. I can name plenty of projects that really do have owners that suck if you like?

It's just someone trying to perpetuate the current problems disgruntled users have created at Rosetta. Most likely one of the more vocal people from the Rosetta forum who is hiding behind a different username..

I already moderated the same post at Free-DC today by the same person.

If people can't get things their way all the time they feel it is better to make life as unhappy as they can for all the rest of the world.

Thank You Bok, your right!

I don't understand the issues because I haven't been running Rosetta recently and have not read the forums. From the links in the first post in this thread I gather that XS were accused of cheating as they used optimized clients. Easy - use them too and reap the benefits.

If you're not happy with the way the project is being run or with the stats or anything else there is a solution. Vote with your feet and move to another project. There are heaps of 'em out there.

I agree 100%

I'm running F@H now but in 10 days I'll be back to Rosetta and Ralph

Why does the project leader have to thank to only big guns? You should track his messages like these

Even we have been participated with the project very much, have the guy ever come and posted any messages?

Whether you piss off or not is NO PROBLEM for it!

Can anyone find him anyone but the lier, and find the connection anything but the special one?

I strongly assume this team will be decieved near in future.
What the fxxk?

heck_thetime, don't let that get to you. We don't need to have anyone around telling us how great we are, and thanking us. We know our own value and we do it for the greater good, not for attention.

We may not stand out on Rosetta like the XS team, but then again they are not running 50+ different projects like we are.

Mr. Baker probably talks more to the XS team because he's more in contact with them than other teams, and because they are indeed doing a terrific job for the project.

Live and let live... :)

If people have a really big deal about credits, they should run folding @home or Climate prediction...both are fixed amounts of credit and how much you get depends on your PC speed...

Or as noted at TPR, optimised BOINC clients should be stopped and it would appear thats becoming the case as SETI forces other projects to adapt to it's model of credit granting (with the new Beta app or whatever it is...)

but science applications should be optimised as much as possible as long as they give the right results. That way results are sped up, meaning scientists are happy and people get more work = more credits so they're happy.
