no doubt, is there a way to join all of our AMD teams? I know I did something similar joining teams way back in the SETI project days, but that was pre boinc.

Are you from 1 of the other 2 AMD teams?

We would make a powefull force (even in MoneyBee) if it were possible.

There are 14 members in AMD Athlon 64 Power Users and 19 in AMD-Power.

You need not your fastest computer: I myself run it on an Intel P11, 350 Ghz as a screensaver and this computer run a WU every 5 hours and deed no babysitting.
If you have a newer computer you can run it as a service.

I haven't tried 2 copies yet. I would guess that you would have to load them to different directories.

Doesn't this work in the screensaver, when it is activated, or does this work outside the screensaver function. I ask this because I have my screensaver off, as this reduces the draw of power from my main computing capability. If this is capable of running with out the screensaver function actuated then yes it could run two instances in theory. If it is dependent on the screensaver then I would say two instances are not possible.
Just my two cents, this is one of the reasons I don't crunch this project, I haven't used my screensaver in about 18 months.

There are 3 versions, basic, service and screen saver. For 1 cpu, only 1 can run.

And Nflight, you are correct, the screen saver will only run 1 no matter how many cpus you have.

Then if you really want to run two cores on MoneyBee, either set up a dual boot system and run a 64-bit text only linux distro like ubuntu-64, or run linux under vmware. I run both cores under linux on moneybee, but don't messwith moneybee under windows.

I think it would be easier to run Linux on Virtual PC 2007 and have it use the other core. Assuming that you are running XP or Vista. If you are really adventurous, try finding a copy of IBM OS/2 Warp 4 and you can setup up to 16 virtual machines on it! LOL! :icon_mrgreen:

That is exactly how I ran it during the race..:icon_wink:
