Actually I took the disks out of an old Seagate 80 MB 5.25" HDD, drilled a 1/16" hole near the edge of each disk, strung them up using fishing line and made a wind chime out of them. It was a bit loud though, so I gave it away.

I sent this to one of the founding members of Seagate, I wonder what kind of a response I will get? ~!:let_it_all_out::qright1:

That is hillarious.

Instead of going to all the trouble to smash the platters on my dead drives, the next set are destined to become kitchen bench mats for hot saucepans.

Drill five holes in them and fit them to your car to see how fast it'll accelerate to 5mph! :laughing8::5dunce:

Best thing for them! Mine lasted less than 12 months, and the RMA process is SOOO long winded I just threw it out and got a... Seagate I think, can't remember now.
