Why are we listed as "Tumbleweeds" now?

I'm sorry but I don't understand why you renamed our team.

The "you" you are referring to must be:

res0r9lm@tampadsl.net

according to the LifeMapper groups page.

I agree - why change the team's name?

LOL - It wasn't me. Vaughn, isn't that BR's email address?

Yes it is.

How immature. Has BR contacted any of you that donated items about returning them? If not, I'm going to contact his local police department.

As for the lifemapper team, I made a new team. It's called AMD Users

Just login to view your profile and change your team to AMD Users

I'm sorry....

I'm really piss of.

Once I said to vaughn that I didn't like BR, now I know why...

Jeff/Vaughn - question. I moved but stats still on Tumbleweed. I see BR still has stats on it as well. Does that mean stats stay with team when you leave, if so we shouldn't move to the new AMD Users, right?

Keith75

Will our stats move with us?

Keith

I don't think so. I moved back to Tumbleweed for now since I am crunching alot on Lifemapper and don't want to lose my stats.

Well, what does everyone recommend? I just switched over to the new team but I don't want to do it if there is a chance of fixing this or even if everyone else isn't going to.

Keith

Well if stats don't move, we have no choice but to stay with Tumbleweed or we will be starting over unless someone can convince either BR to fix or an admin at Lifemapper fix and put Vaughn/Jeff over the Team Management.

Jeff - I IMD with BR and he is taking care of my donated items thru Ebay.

You all have to wait for stats update.

Hey Guys,

I noticed the problem with your team this morning on my stats, thought it was a glitch!

here (http://stats.open-dc.org/lm/Tumbleweeds.html)

When the AMD Users team did not update I thought I hada problem with my scripts.

when you change teams on LifeMapper, your stats do follow you, but only after the stats run which occurs at 9am/9pm GMT...

I moved from US-Distributed to Free-DC a while ago and took my stats with me.

Regards

Bok

Please be carefully because BR is also DNET AMD Users Team Management.

K - But what about the team members who don't come to the website or haven't crunched in a while. If anyone does not switch to the new Team we lose the stats, right?

We can send an email to lifemapper administrator explaining this situation.
Now there are two teams, one AMD Users team and one called none team. None team is the old one and the new one is AMD Users.

Oh, i see...

And took "our" suppercomp with him off-course...

Well i only donated $5 long long time ago, "we" only have the old amdusers site remember :D .

No need to refund or someting the sad thing is in the event of that beeing true the $ haven't helped the team :?

jlangner

numibesi - If you donated to the old site, I think that went to Jeff and I am sure he put to maintaining the website so probably did go to a good "AMD User" use. I donated $10.00 back then as well.

Yes, I did use that donation for the site. I hope you all like it. I am still trying to work on it to make it better. If you have any suggestions, post them!

Still no excuse BR. :-( As admin, you should have tried emailing first instead of messing with the Group name. That was uncalled for, whatever the reason for leaving.

How are we going to attract new members if our internal problems are always going to be open for the public to see? I wouldnt want to join a team in this kind of disarray.

Chaz

I agree with that also Chaz, but if any of the current or previous members, does not have the sence of responsibility well delined i think it's better to have this info "Open Source" so any other interested teams mates that visit our site and have the unhapiness to have those members on their team be aware of that fact....

you don't even have to be on a team

numibesi
05-07-2004, 11:42 AM
Off course not,

But that leads you to the point of let's see....why are you on our TEAM page by the way?!

Off course you are welcome, by all means, that is not the point, but for me besides the fact to help in some way someone that needs or may need my free cpu cycles, i like DCing because on the challange between teams, if you are running by yourself, first you are not a team but a member so you are not beeing ranked has a team on any DC program site....

But opinions aside, the fact is in this particular case there was a switch between teams so i keep my previous statement.

PS: Could you identify your self please? Just for the record :D

jlangner

Well I started the original post because I saw the team name had changed on Lifemapper. I did not know BR had left or I would have put in the Team Only Section where it wouldn't be open. If one of the mods want to move it there that is great with me.

Keith75
05-07-2004, 12:45 PM
Well, I don't know why BR is acting like he is or what was going on before this but I doubt that it would affect anyone joining our team to see things like this. My reasoning is that life is full of things like this weather it be at school, at work or in a club and everyone realizes that.
