My AMD Athlon 3200+ joined RS Sept 04
My Intel Core 2 Duo joined Nov 15

So far has the Athlon finiched 114 WU´s and got 9.771,18 in total credit.
The Intel have finished 168 WU´s and got 2,306,09 in total credit.

Is that normal when Intel has finiched more work than Athlon and yet got lower points in total?

Good job :icon_cool:

No idea why the difference in credit though. Are you using an optimized client on both? or just one? Or the same version of BOINC on both?

The same boinc
Optimised on Athlon
Not optimised on Intel

There is no idea use optimiced client in RS depending of fixed credits.

It's RS. You've probably found more factors on the AMD ;)

Try the Intel SSE2 Official Optimized Client (http://www.rieselsieve.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=971) for Riesel Sieve and see if it improves the performance.

Where are you getting the WU totals from? If it is from the hosts page then your Athlon totals are not complete. That page only counts WU results currently in the database. Older, deleted results cannot be counted.

Your Athlon has 9771.18 credit on 114 results, meaning an average of 85.7121 per result. Not possible on RS with the fixed credits, unless you were able to average about 24 factors per WU. :icon_biggrin:

Would someone clue me in as to what a "factor" is ?? Thanks !! :)

Putting it simply... a factor is a prime number that divides another number (non-prime). For example... 5 is a factor of 20, you divide 20 by 5 and the result is exactly 4.

On these maths projects there are millions of numbers to be tested to see if they're primes, and testing them one by one would take hundreds of years. So if we find these factors, we can extrapolate them and eliminate some of our test numbers even before they get tested. The more factors we find the less numbers will have to be tested.

I got this information from Top teams/AMDusers/Lagu/computer 7648/2890

I think you BobCat13 are right. Earlier today I had 114 now 112. I seems as they remove old WU´s as is succefully done becaus I must have done at least 1,200 WU´s. Every WU takes 46-47 min each wisch mean 25 WU´every night and day. I had a feeling there was somthing wrong with so low figures since Sept 4.

Thanks NeoGen for the answer...my daughter is a math teacher I should have asked her !!
