"On Jan. 25th, 2007, World Community Grid reached more than 500,000 registered devices! Thanks to all our members who have continued to add their computing power to the World Community Grid!"

About 11 of those 500,000 are mine :)

Anyone else still crunching on this project?

Not recently, been doing a little UD Grid to help Nflight. If I try WC Grid it annihilates my UD installation.

You can crunch WCG on BOINC

I think WCG lists 11 devices on my account, even though I am only running 2. I really wish they had the merge feature.

Check the team stats for WCG to see who is still crunching using BOINC:
http://www.boincstats.com/stats/user_stats.php?pr=wcg&st=0&to=100&ti=731

And, http://stats.amdusers.com/active_personal_non_boinc_stats.html shows quite a few running WCG.

Its great to see a post by my old sparring partner kamaleigh. :icon_wink:

Do you remember the races we had a few years ago, was it in the first fight aids at home project? My memory must be failing me :icon_lol:

Fightaids@Home was a nice project. I ran it and was not avare about you Vaughan, nor could I think we should meet each other in our forum one day. On this time I had my Intel PII only.
I wish such project should be developed and launched again.:)

Do you remember Safemarkets@Home if I can recall it right. Also a nice project.

Thanks kamaleigh.

If you have 8 computers on this and made 7208 points yesterday, then look at Jason, he made nearly 47,000.

I hate to think what his electricity is.

The electricity bill does add up a bit. Its not so bad in the winter months here as the heat is welcome. I'm not sure what i'm going to do with the heat in the summer months. Liquid cooled and a heat exchanger to preheat water for the water heater? I may have to shut some off for the summer if the heat becomes a problem, wich would give somebody else a chance at the top.

I'm glad i switched to WCG and joined this team :icon_wink:

Welcome to the team there Jason1478963, and feel free to jump in the FlashChat on the green bar below the main links of the forum, there you will find someone most of the time. Stop in on Friday and Saturday evenings is when you find most of us getting to know each other a little easier! :)

Again Welcome to the AMDusers Team

Welcome to the party Jason(insert number here). The team could use some help in Pi-Segment if you are interested.

Thanks for the welcome. Its nice to meet some of the people that i've been crunching with and teamates crunching on other projects. Thanks for the invite to PI-segment, but I think i'm gonna stick with WCG for a while. I have some personal goals at WCG. If I run them out of work or reach those goals I may be able to spare a few computers for other projects.

Our Office has 7 in it at the moment and it is 80 degrees. I may have to move some in the basement for the summer if I wanna keep them crunching on WCG to get in the top 50. I think we may need a special case for ppl that like to crunch and be able to put the heat to good use.

I have my 4 computers in the Data-room and it begins to be warmt when the sun of the spring begins heat up the wall. I have a house buildt of wood and no fan hanging in the cieling. I think I will be forced open the window when I´m at home for a while.:)

Did you sleep alone and your wife in another room? And how all dust as is coming down the floor? Are you using your vaccum-cleaner every morning to avoid dust on the fans?:)

I have made a few more points in WCG
Accumulated Points: 7,032,704
Current Ranking: 114

Its cool to have passed 7,000,000 points. I'm also getting close to being in the top 100 for points standing. It sure would be nice to add a couple FX74's in the mix :P

Adding to the post count and update on WCG clasic points for me. I'm still trying to get in the top 100 crunchers on WCG. It doesnt seem to be an easy task
Accumulated Points: 9,019,646
Current Ranking: 103

Jason1478963 I am back to one machine running WCG instead of Two running the Rosetta Race. My one system could not run Rosetta so I had to discontinue and return to WCG. I have no idea why, I just know that 4 BSOD's in one afternoon is enough to change my mind. :icon_mad:

As of this writing my WCG points are: 95,816 with 702 Results :blob3:
