Busted! My wife asked yesterday "what is that noisy machine doing? Do you know our last power bill was $xx?"

I think four of my cores will have to go offline...

Stratcat, I have noticed that the Pi client does not stress that machines as much as other clients, I agree it is strange. My results from an Intel "Clovertown" 2 x 4-core CPU machine vs. a "Woodcrest" 2 x 2-core CPU suggest it is processor memory bandwidth limited. Why it might be cooler on e6x00 machines I can't guess except to note that the whole Core 2 Duo family is about the most heat-efficient thing out there. I wish I could get the source code to the client to look into this

The first was to two of Blueberry Pi's lurkers in our forum. And the second was from their forum from their second biggest producer'. aeberbach (http://javascript%3cb%3e%3c/b%3E:void(0)) who is known to most that are running Pi Segment and watching the scores.
