Ever have a machine shut down in the middle of flashing a Bios? I don't recommend it.

Yup brand new Asus board. The bas part is I lose 2 days of output of an X2 3800. Worked all afternoon building it. Asus is going to overnight me a chip in the morning.

Tell them you lost thousands of dollars due to downtime and you are gonna need more than that... :icon_twisted:

Since your getting a new one I recommend hot swapping them and flashing the bad 1 so you'll have a back up for the future...

Just start up the good system pop out the Bios chip pop in the bad 1 and flash it... Just be careful to not short anything...

Sorry I didn't say something before but most people don't have identical systems around but I guess I should have thought about where I was... Were a different kind of people...
And I like it!!!

Well, look at it this way... You'll never have to buy a Bios chip for those MoBo's..
