Can someone help parse XML stats and create our signature?

I have a signature that I 'snagged' from someone, but
doubt I will be allowed to use it for long.....


Since the stats are now XML available... and there is obviously PHP
to do this ('borrowable' if needed)... May I request help and
all of us have a common signature with common Seti/P@H avatar
that references our page and somehow pulls the stats from the XML?

Here is an example of what I have found so far.

This isn't right, but I hope it makes the point... I think our logo w/ stats is needed... and perhaps our admins have the cpu power to do this for our projects which support XML export??? (Is this a good idea or bad one?)

As an alternative... perhaps we can pull the stats direct from predictor's server and simply draw it with a single php page on our logo stored somewhere on this web site? This is all totally unknown turf for me... I am a complete dinosaur in web stuff. Please accept my apologies.... it's something I *MUST* learn.

that seems a pretty gd idea, i have seen some of those on other sites and it looks pretty professional.
one of my m8s can code, do websites etc so when i next see him ill ask him how u would go about doing it and c. AMD users has a gd logo at the top ^^ n if made well a tag/sig would look really gd

Part of the security mechanism. :)

You can now that security has been increased against cheating even further, grab your User ID when you point to the link for your stats... just save the shortcut. :) Our team ID is there as well...

I can grab you database in XML format if you want, but we need those neat php scripts from boinc.dk that they use for seti and run them elsewhere.... They aren't collecting and supporting PAH yet.

Just a couple of things i was gonna mention. Though u say P@H isnt supported by those tags showing scores why does your borrowed one have predictor @ home written in bottom right corenr :S ???

when processing earlier i got an:

what does this meen surely all the results sent out should work ? i know u can get this in seti due to excess noise so it stops itself but in predictor this wouldnt apply.

i found this after looking at some BOINC forums on sigs (http://www.boinc.dk/index.php?page=signatures), is it worth trying to create our own by putting the pic in this http://www.boinc.dk/index.php?page=upload_signature on the signature uploader - the only problem is them it owuld be available to every1 so any1 could use our "tag/pic" but i doubt ppl would. im willing to give this a go - all opinions appreciated.

Just remove the xxx from the start and end, 6376 is your id.

I never completely answered for question.

I've 9gigs processing at home split over 4 machines (non of them oc'd) and they are all running Preductor (that's for you BC :lol:).

I've 2 lowly machines at work, 1 on Predictor and 1 on Ubero (just to keep Beerknurd at bay :D :D )

checked around the forums and it looks like some outhers have changed the colour of the text of their stats ontop of the image. I was going to say that we would have to have an image with a dark back ground but that might not be necessary...

our logo would have to be reduced in size to their odd dimensions to be used, and it might have to be darkened a bit because of the text color, but try two versions... one light and one dark.

I don't see where boinc.dk is using our XML exported stats yet, but my danish isn't what it used to be.

PS: found out my point problem... only fx-53's are being used for my jobs. that sucks. the validator is too tight now.

may I suggest a faint green... real pale, instead of white as a try ...... just a thought... use your creativity as you see fit... I'll be fixing the server here... I have WAY to many open jobs... (as do we all).

On the DK site, once you have uploaded the graphics (280*80) you can choose the text AND colour and position.

Well i have looked at both of them and yes Empty_5oul yours dose look good, but you add the text the it will go over the text of the team.
So really the one i would choose would be Ototero's because it's easy to read and would look good on any message board. :D

I've been practising on the DK site with my design. I can't make head or tails of the descriptions, they don't match any project stats.

So I've stuck ALL of them on and hope we can edit them later. I only finished a few minutes ago. The site admin says a couple of days before it is ready.

I think there is a 104 or 140 limit somewhere. look at their specific signatures..(the elaborate ones).

Also, i don't think boink.dk is picking up and processing the pah XML data yet. Please correct me if I'm wrong. if they aren't prcessing them yet, perhaps a request to the webmaster will do that from one of you local gents???

I have PHP, perl, and a commercial web site. I have enough space to pull (if we write the scripts to pull it correctly) and handle the signatures.

for example??... Anything else is cool too... Redirection w/ Vaughan's permission is ok with me. If that's ok, then my site is open for the team use... I forgot it was all there.... it's fully commercial.. Apache, PHP3 & 4..

When I get moved back to Pa or Tx.. (wherever we settle), I will setup auto FTP transfers of stats data if need be.. that's the easy part. I'll be on DSL. I can also be a host for the data there too... I'll have 7 processors online 24/7 if need be.

Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

Ototeron ** spelling ** and I submitted the final design we came up with to another site which will make it "interactive" and a proper sig that updates itself. When that works well add it and see how it looks. we can then always add another design or change the current one.
