Take a gander, looks like rsa has pulled the key projects. Also looks like there will be an upcoming vote on whether to continue the project independent of the rsa labs awards or solutions. Since rsa has said that they would not be providing any solutions/confirmations it seems rather pointless to me to continue on the rc5-72 effort just for the heck of it when there's other projects out there that have a genuine benefit to be realized in their continuation. So I don't intend to put any more effort on the rc5-72 project.

OGR-25 will still continue, and distributed.net says they are working on some new projects but haven't announced anything yet.

For distributed.net's site posting the url is posted below:

That seems a shame.

Thanks for the update Bruce.

This is unbelievable. Everytime I reach number 2, just about to claim number 1, the project tanks.

Oh well. Where else can I aim for the top? Answers on a postcard.

That seems a shame.

Yes it is from the perspective of the people that have put a lot of time and money into the effort. At the same time I can understand that time/technology has moved on from the point where the challenges were issued.

I do hope though that distributed.net quickly comes up with some other project(s) as they do have a solid reputation for reliable client/server efforts.
