I've been searching the forums trying to find the program that other said they used over msconfig to stop processes and programs starting at PC start up.

I've had no luck so far.

Can anyone help?

I use Winpatrol.
http://www.winpatrol.com

Does more than just control start up programs. It also checks if file associations change, HOSTS file edited, services added, etc.
