Progress Quest

I just stumbled on this funny little game, Progress Quest, where you don't have to do a thing, just watch it unfold.

It's a kind of an online RPG, but you just watch progress bars and text running.

This thing supports "Guilds" (like Teams), and guess what is my surprise when I find AMD Users there! Vaughan, you could have told us to join you. :)

But the Guild page says we're not "fully accredited by the Interrealm Board of Guilds" because we don't have at least 2 members. I think that now that I joined we do, but lets wait for an update and see.

Well, I made an account and joined our Guild, and am just watching my character develop. Right now he's only at level 1 armed with a sharp stick and wearing a couple of macrame pieces of clothing, but things are bought and sold every now and then.



p.s. - We are on the "Pemptus" Realm. When I tried the multiplayer game, that was the only one that I could get in, there was another one available but for some reason it wouldn't let me in.

Your account (the one of the motorcycle) appears to be linked to a Guild named "?". (Formal Name: Elitist DOS-Coders)
And those guys are on the Evil side, while AMD Users is the side of Good.
Don't know if it matters or helps though...

Our guild has just ascended to the rank of "Band" (previously we were a "triviality")

If we keep going up we'll be a "Clan" someday. :) (It's the next Class up)


I'm running 3 other characters besides my personal one. I don't think there's a limit on how many a person can run, and they don't take much cpu or memory.

Update: I finally figured out how to join the guild. You press Cntrl+G, if anyone else didn't know. I guess i don't need to have it listed in my account or may not even have had to make an account.

Yes, but it's about 350kbytes only.

And once started, you don't have to do a single thing... just let it run and watch. :)

Just start the game, choose your character (or load one in a previously saved game), and let it run.

I'm already at level 49 and am still #1 on the Team, but don't know if for too long. I think the fellows behind me are gaining experience faster than I am.

My character has become extremely lucky and relatively strong, which is a good thing because - sadly - it's not very intelligent.

I have saved a snapshot of the current Team standings in Pemptus.

This is such a great game.
I've been playing it continuously for 4 years now and I still don't get bored.
There's always something new happening every day.
One of the best games I ever signed up to.
