It seems to have resurfaced as a boinc project. :)

And here's our Team already created.

IMP is similar to BURP, as it is also a distributed rendering project. There's no work for now unfortunately so we'll just have to wait. But for now, account creation is open, which is good.

But this bit of news is not so good...

Just to let you know, don't be surprised if all the user accounts disappear. I may reset the whole database whenever I need to.

He has a linux app only at the moment there have been windows wu's sent out earlier, but the app list currently only shows a linux app - interesting
I have attached it to "dn02"

I got a test-wu. It said 16 minutes but completed in 9 seconds.
I got some more.
Whoah Lots more
about 0.02 credits. 9 seconds apiece. 0.05 KB upload

Ah. It looks like I just flushed the cache of about 50 WUs
Oh. On closer look the quorum is 2 and my linux box validated both wu's
Um. So the cache was really 25 but I got both results for each of the wu's
Err. That's not supposed to happen. heheh

But, Hey! we got points on the board :icon_mrgreen:

/ed -
3 mins later - here we go.
Project has immediately gone down for maintenance.
Lets see how long those points last LOL

That was funny... you validated your own workunits?
That would be a good feature on some projects where credits are kept "pending" for long periods of time. :)

p.s. - Vaughan... join in so I can pass the Team over to you. ;)

There's production, there's Beta, there's Alpha ... and there's Pre-Alpha.

Remember that IMP@Home is pre-Alpha

There appears to have been a database disaster recovery test, which I am pleased to say is a very welcome sight.
As a consequence around 12 accounts were dropped in the recovery.
I was member 31.
I have rejoined as member 19.
The team account was also dropped as were several others.
I have recreated it for the time being.
But remember - no guarantees ;)
There's a project developer at work and he's getting it done.
Looks good so far.

This really is DC'ing on the bleeding edge.
Very cool !
