cimatepredication.net beta - what is it?

Can anyone tell me what the heck climate predication.net beta is testing? In typical BOINC web site style, it has no explanation of what they are doing. I have dug around in the forums, but my expected life span is only ~85 years:)

I would assume it's the Beta Project for the CPDN Project like the Ralph Project is for the Rosetta@Home Project. New Applications and various other things are Tested at the Sub Beta Projects before they go to the Main Projects.

Vaughan has an account there he may know more about the project, I may be mistaken but I don't think the Stats are kept for the Project other than right at the Beta Project itself or if you have a CPDN Account the Credits from the Beta Project may be folded in with the CPDN Projects Credits ... :)

They have been updating the code for the "UK Met Office HADCM3 Beta" client.
