i have tried joining the project and bits seem to be working - as u can c i have added myself to team AMD Users.
when i try to add my username in the actual prog it doesnt like it, i have looked in the FaQ and i think it is because of the underscore (_) in Empty_5oul.

is the reason and is there a way round it or do i need to change my username ??

this is the oringinal question where i found this info out, i have checked the rest of out team and no one else has a underscore.
it seems a bit or a stupid error

Q:
Why won't the Seventeen or Bust client accept my name, when the web page sign up (or a previous client version) did?

A:
The Seventeen or Bust client allows alpha-numeric characters only while the account creation page on the web site allows a wider range of characters. This discrepancy will be addressed in future versions of the client.

To be safe, limit yourself to 12 characters, including spaces (says the user formerly known as TomMelaniephile.)

Underscores are ok.

1. Did you sign up here : http://www.seventeenorbust.com/signup/

2. Download software

I did it all only 2 days ago.

The trick here is to use the team number:

83

In the 17 properties, you have 3 priority bottons, the middle one slows down other dcs, the right one make 17 go too slow.

Take your pick. The stats for this are great.

my memory's not 2 bad.
atm i am just using the one DDR400 slot with 1 512 stick. soon i am buying two 512 DDR333 sticks - owe my dad quite a lot tho atm but should order the gig next week hopefully.
thx for ur help with memory n motherboard etc :thumbleft:. Just wondering can u put 333 in the 400 motherboard slot?? casue i might be able to then have 1.536gig of memory

1 gig of Ram is all I need. This computer will handle up to 4 gigs. Unless your doing some kind of video editing, I can't see why you would need more than 1 gig.

With a gig or more, you can run the whole computer in ram using HyperOS.

It supposed to really hum (like seriously hum)

nah, i dont actually need 1.5g but if i was to buy the gig then form my old comp i would have 512 spare and it might aswell be in the comp working as oppose to doing nothing.

can i put 333 in the 400 slot without having to change any settings --- i would have to if i put 400 with 333 (to reduce the 400's speed). Can u put slower memory in a faster slot - is it backwards compatible

Sure, you can put slower memory in your slot. Just make sure you aren't running the memory at higher speed. Your Front Side Bus setting will need to be 166 for this memory instead of 200.

i just wanted to make sure so i dont blow or damage the memory.
last time i hadn't clicked in it properly and it started to burn when i booted up lol, luckily the case sides were off so i realised and pulled power cable out lol :P
ill reduce the FSB at some point, put it down from 200
