Well done everyone. Russia put up a good fight but we eventually got them.

The 2 teams above us are not crunching so in about 30 days we'll take 2 more places.

In the last 24 days we have increased our position total by 10,000 points. in 30 days your right, we should move up another notch if I stayed to make that mark. I hope to add another 400 or so points to my stats and slide back into Boinc for a bit. :icon_neutral:

Yeay, we bust 100,000.

Well done everyone.

I know that Linux will run more that one client, has anyone ever figured out how to run more than one client in Windows.

Only way I know is running it on Virtual Machines... :-(

as many milti core machines running now, it looks like they would rewrite their client for greater advantage of resources. IMHO

LOL ------- I thought I'd get a bite from you. :icon_mrgreen: Just kidding you though. I could do the 2 computer thing but then that wouldn't do much for trying to get us up to #15 much sooner. :icon_santa:

IN the past couple days I put my systems on MoneyBee to try and keep us moving while Lagu was on vacation. In that time I passed 3,000 and am still rising. I sure wish someday we could pass rechencraft and take over the #1 on DC-Vault for good!

At this point Rechenkraft is upwards of 197,000, and we are around 115,000. That is a bit of a steep climb, but not an undo-able one. However it would take some dedicated hard core crunching on the part of a few people. If Ototero is watching this thread. what are they (RechenKraft) averaging in output per day??? Is there a place where we can track this stuff without using a calculator and pushing a bunch of buttons? :)

Edit: So Mr. Nflight, if you put your stuff on here for a couple of days, and got 3,000 points, so like 1,500 per day (????), and I could maintain at least that, we could be up to an extra 85,000 points in 28 days which would put us at 198,000 total. What I don't know is what the daily output of Rechenkraft is. So are you game Mr. Nflight????? :)

Any others on the team want to make a run on moneybee #1 and stomp Rechenfraft??? :)

So, who is making the money off of the MoneyBee project?

Brucifer

So, who is making the money off of the MoneyBee project?

Anyone that is in to the investing thing and has contributed computer time to crunch the packets can access the crunched data. Then it's like anything else in the investment world, you invest your bucks and you take the risk. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. This is just one of those things to try and increase the odds in the investor's favor.

Any project out there is aimed at a specific thing more or less, that benefits certain individuals, groups, or organizations. Even if the project allegedly is for the benefit of mankind, the people running the project reap professional benefits from the proceeds. In that regard I don't think moneybee is any different than anyother project that professionally rewards theose involved in running the project. The age old thing, who makes the bucks off the medical projects, or the scientific, and so on. Thus many people limit their crunching to educational institutions for instance. Who's gaining from Seti? Or the collider's or whatever.... those with the professional expertise to analyze and evaluate the data. I think no matter how you look at any project there's people that profit more from it than others. Meanwhile they all benefit from the contributions of the people crunching and basically giving the projects free machine time. On this one it's open to anyone that participates. However not everyone is in to investing. :)

From the purely "gaming" end of things, it's just another project that has been picked up by the DC-Vault people in the misc., projects category that accumulates points for participating teams for the ranking game among teams that participate in the DC_Vault rankings.

Just my own personal thoughts on the project. :)

Do you generate those stats or do you have an url you go to for them? Those Concours boys and girls definitely have a few points there. Only two years at present output to catch them huh? :icon_mrgreen:

Rechenkraft is much closer. :icon_mrgreen: And that's #1 in DC-Vault.

If we only could figure out how we can run MoneyBee on 2 cores. I have tried run it both as a screensaver and via the client but got a message saying I could not run such combination at the same time.

I can’t understand why the MoneyBee staff not is more engaged in our voluntary for them. Their message board is dead and peoples as wrote there got no answer. I have tried contacting them by E-mail on their homepage but they didn’t take notice about it. It is a great shame.

I run that project as a screensaver on my Intel PII and there is a ticker who says: “Thank you to all of you who stay with us after the grave water damage! +++May the MoneyBee be with you+++ We are back again! The task exchange runs now and soon we will provide predications again.” This message is from 2002 and has never changed.

It is as we fumble in the dark and we never got any news about what they plan for the future. Their client is old. The newest is their development of their background client v. 1.25 whish is a Beta-version made 2004 as we use now.

We will send you information per E-mail when we have a new MoneyBee®-Version

Taken from Rechenkraft.de forum:

If I MBLoader with the issue of suppressed characters start, then hears MoneyBee sometimes downright, yet what to expect (not even a network in 5 hours!). Only when normal output is running at me MB values constant at between 70 and 98 percent utilization (TaskMan).Nur bei normaler Ausgabe läuft MB bei mir konstant bei Werten zwischen 70 und 98 Prozent Auslastung (TaskMan).

Specialities

A work unit contains at Moneybee-5 project calculated networks, all for the same time horizon (day, week, and month) and the same shares will be calculated. If after 5 hours, not all networks are calculated, then the calculation cancelled. The network will be abandoned in the number calculated networks are not counted, but for computing time spent is credited to the respective participants.

For each network is the number of iterations already set out during training of the network to be executed. If the network but previously forecast a high enough quality, then the calculation of this network is already completed and transferred to another network. The client uses the CPU unfortunately not 100 percent, as required by the internal communication between two program components waiting breaks.

If four weeks have no packages, the account is disabled. Only when another package, you can access to the data. This is to prevent someone delivers a result, and from then on, always have access to the results.

I reckon the only way to run 2 MBs on a dually, would be to run 1 MB normally, then fire up a virtual system and run another on that.

Brucifer has now loaded his rifle and is on my rear-view mirror. It is awesome: 300 packets, 1500 nets and an average at 0.3431 hours per nets. Compare this with my results: 19 packets, 75 nets and 0.9276 hours/nets. I’m the dwarf against Goliath.:icon_eek:
Go Brucifer, I have to stand on the side and applaud when you rush by.:hello::icon_mrgreen:
