November 5, 2007 New Web design, new client, Downtime
First of all to state the obvious: We have a new web design^^. Apart from that we rolled out new applications for Windows and Linux on Friday, which implement check pointing, so now you can stop and resume our work units and don't need to finish them in one batch. However good news always come with bad news: The downtime from the 31. was postponed to today or tomorrow, so don't worry, if POEM@HOME is down for a few hours.

October 30, 2007 Downtime 30. and 31.10
The boinc server software will go down today for backups. This shouldn't take longer than 20 minutes. Tomorrow there will be a complete server move, so everything, even the website and also the forum will be down for about 2 hours.

Very nice, the new website design. :)

I hope this project grows and gains popularity! There's never too many life sciences projects.

P.S. - If anyone wants to check it out --> http://boinc.fzk.de/poem/

So far the project has no flaws even in the alpha stage. They do have a current limit of just 5 work units per day per core but, even with my fastest system running it I can't seem to run out of WU's. The administrator and moderator of the message boards usually responds with in 12 hours so everything is very good with in the embodiment of the project overall. Most work units range near a one hour time frame, there are some that are over three hours long but all work units are reported immediately as the quorum is one.

I applaud the Projects Team effort they are on top of the activity, Well Done.

Hej Bubben!

Inte visste jag att du var från Sverige. Trevligt resultat! Du har snart nått 30.000 poäng och är projektledare. Bra gjort.:)

Sentient_life around here that happens alot, I just keep pushing my efforts wherever I can and do the most I can with the little horsepower I can. But in reality it is the tremendous effort by all of us who keep saying I can do this and at my own rate no matter if someone passes me or not. This is due to the whole effort of Team, We work as a team and each person puts there strength into it no matter how insignificant someone else treats us as they go storming by in there Maserati or Lamborghini, I will always have my trusty four cylinder continue to get me there and with a few gallons of gas extra on my arrival.

Gratz!

But " i " kept us among the top 20 all the time while the others was away on other projects..hehe..:icon_lol:

I would look bad otherwise to drop places..

Btw: This project is said to be one of the largest and they are working on a screensaver and in the hopefully near future it will go sharp..

But i´m a little disapointed with the credits..only 5-600/day against abc@home 1000-1500/day

And i only have 1 Amd 4200+ dual core so..

Finally i choose this project because it was based upon the nobel prize taker :http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_B._Anfinsen

I know that all too well having passed by others myself, so I shouldn't complain! :icon_redface:
