Yeah. What's up with the stats of late? Someone on US Distributed keeps having that problem too.

Better watch your rear view mirror too. 8)

Oops! mea culpa. I had one "cbspn.conf" file that contained AMD_Users instead of AMD Users. This caused the stats hiccup. Sorry folks.

I have been trying to get more output, but with no luck...

I tried to lower memory usage from max(128mb) to high(64) and running more simultaneous clients, but it doesnt seem to help...

Speaking of rearview mirror, how's things over at Lifemapper?

Ggrrrrr 8O

Having lots of problems with the heat. I've had 2 computers where the case fans started making loud noises then ground to a halt. Now my internet connection is soo sloww that I have resorted to dusting off my trusty 56kbps and 28.8kbps dial-up modems. I've tried re-setting the router and the cable modem and switched off the wireless lan - no improvement. Running Adaware, Spybot Search & Destroy and either Norton AntiVirus or Grisoft's AVG on all systems tonight. I have one P4 that just locks up half way through NAV. Maybe its the culprit.

I'll try to get back to work on LifeMapper just as soon as I can.

What is really weird but good (I guess) is that Ubero just keeps on connecting as if I had a 1500 kbps connection instead of the current 8 kbps cable link.

I also had a problem today. Power failure once again. stangely FPL only has been having problem on clear calm days and no problem on stormy days. I think I am going to make my next computer related purchase 2 batteries for my UPS

Was catching up quite nicely till y'all started putting the pedal to the metal. Gave it a rest for the time being though, since I tend to float to different projects every other week. Sticking to RC5 & CB for now.

Well we are doing really well here we have jumped up to 7TH spot (http://www.chessbrain.net/stats/)today. But if we had 4 more users who could add ChessBrain to thier computers as it apears not to write to hard drive then we could jump up to 5TH spot if a few days :D

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ChessBrain’s back online! During this next week we’ll be making a number of changes. Expect erratic PeerNode behavior… If you’ve shutdown your client, please consider restarting it. We’ll need a live network to continue the project.

ChessBrain did well in Denmark , and we learned a lot during our World Record attempt. The good news is that we see a great deal that can be improved! With your help we can build an improved ChessBrain. Please email or post your ideas for improvements… and if you’re technically inclined – please consider rolling up your sleeves and joining the core programming team!

Our road map for the next few months involves code improvements, cleanup, documentation and an open source release.

Certificates update
The Distributed Computing Foundation will be handling the processing of certificates and we hope to announce a target date when they’ll be offered. I’d like to see this happen this week! However, much will depend on the DCF.

My email account has been a bit flaky. Seems back to normal now. If you have any questions you can email be at cjus@chessbrain.net or cjus34@yahoo.com

Then did you set up your config file correctly

I made my registry in January. A few days before World Record attempt.

Then did you set up your config file correctly.

Yes. I went to chessbrain page to see what was my id number and then I set up the config file.

Send an e-mail to Carlos Justiniano (cjus) at supportATchessbrain.net and see if he can sort it out for you.

Also, when you are running client, if you click on register, does it say machine is registered or not. If doesn't just reenter email address there you used on site. It should say it successfully acquired account information or something close to that.

That was my problem. I forgot to click on FILE-REGISTER. Thanks again.

We just overtook Swiss Team to grab 5th place today.
I've added an XP2400 to the farm. Let's try to knock off Anandtech :!: for 4th.
ChessBrain plays very well with all other DC projects, just let it startup with Windows and it'll run 24/7 unattended.

I stop using it because I'm not appearing in the stats. I don't no what's going on.

em99010pepe did you register the ChessBrain PeerNode Client by going File - Register and enter your e-mail address?
What did cjus say? Have you tried the CB forums?

ps. Don't bother with the version 2 stats on the official page, they are out-of-date. Instead use 3rd party stats. Magnavox (from Free-DC) has excellent stats. You're 9th on Magnavox's ChessBrain stats page:
